I came on the weekend and there were not many crowds. Love the new exhibition (until Oct 2024). The staff were friendly and helpful. So worth it, I had a good time.

Get ready to be amazed by two special exhibitions at the MACAN Museum! "Pointing to the Synchronous Windows" presents a selection of works from the museum's collection that are full of surprises. From big names like Keith Haring, Yoshitomo Nara, to local maestros like Affandi and Sudjojono, this exhibition is a meeting place for art across generations and countries. 

Moving on to the second exhibition, "The Sea is Barely Wrinkled," an artistic journey full of meaning from Kei Imazu, a Japanese artist who is now based in Bandung. Through large installations and stunning paintings, Imazu explores Indonesia's colonial history, contemporary environmental issues, and captivating local mythological stories. Interestingly, there are also new works that have never been exhibited before! So, make sure you don't miss this art experience—unique, reflective, and definitely full of inspiration. ✨
