• Public Transport: TransLink’s TX7 theme park express bus runs from Helensvale Station and other Gold Coast hubs directly to Movie World. It costs as little as AU$0.50 per trip, so it’s definitely one of the cheapest ways to get to the park. 

Best time of year to visit Movie World Gold Coast

If you’re keen to escape the heat and crowds, the best time to visit Movie World is during the shoulder seasons between March and May, and September to early November. To make your experience even better, try visiting during a weekday. 

If you are visiting Movie World during peak tourist season around December, expect longer wait times, higher ticket prices, and that classic Gold Coast heat.

Our tips for visiting Movie World Gold Coast

• Arrive Early: Gates open at 9:30am with rides starting at 10am. If you can, try get to the park early to avoid queues.
• Buy Tickets Online: Pre-booking not only saves you time at the gates, but you’ll save on your ticket prices too. 
• Check Show Times: Make sure you know what shows you want to go to, such as the Star Parade (which is normally on at around 3:30pm), and plan your day around them.
