— What You Can Expect —
Explore a winter wonderland and visit Kootenay National Park!
In the morning, we will pass by the well-defined Castle Mountain, a famous site in the Rocky Mountains between Banff and Lake Louise. There are 7 bridges in Marble Canyon that you can hike on in winter, walking in a zigzag pattern on the deep limestone canyon and the winding creek below. There were fossils of Cambrian soft-bodied creatures millions of years ago spotted here, which is quite magnificent. From the bridge, you can see the canyon below, with a frozen waterfall cascading from above on the right, the stunning landscape, and refreshing pools. In the afternoon, explore another fairy tale secret in the Rocky Mountains: the snow-white Lake Louise, backed by the Victoria Glacier. From January to April every year (subject to change depending on the official opening hours), the grand Ice Magic is launched here! Witness artists and ice sculpture enthusiasts from all over the world build a beautiful fairy tale world. The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise located on the lakeside looks like a painting, with snow-capped mountains and glacial lakes complementing each other. You can enjoy Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise Afternoon Tea at Fairview BarHead at your expenses for a special experience. Make a stop at Moraine Lake (expected to be available from June 1st. If not, the tour guide will arrange other available attractions), the renowned lake famous for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, beautifully reflecting the towering Ten Peaks. Afterward, head to Lake Minnewanka. During winter, you may see the magical phenomenon of icy bubbles at Lake Minnewanka! You can choose to take Lake Minnewanka Cruise at your own expense as a perfect wrap up of the day. You will pass by Two Jack Lake for some pictures afterwards.
