After a 45-minute bus ride from Geneva, you will reach Annecy in France. Annecy is also known as the "Venice of the Alps". On a guided walk through the old town, you will see colorful markets and pedestrian zones. The town is crossed by the River Thiou and has a romantic flair. Castles, museums and exhibitions characterize the city. You will then have around 2 hours of free time, which you can use for a walk along the lake or a visit to a restaurant.

Annecy always has interesting festivals and events throughout the year. For example, the Venice Carnival is adapted here. The canals that run through Annecy have earned the town the nickname "Venice of the Alps". The "Traverse du lac d'Annecy" in August also offers a special spectacle. Swimmers cross the lake over three distances in a competition.
