Considered as one of the best museums in Indonesia, Ullen Sentalu showcases Javanese cultural artifacts from the Kingdom of Mataram. Its collection of paintings, letters, old photographs, statues, and handpainted batik fabrics come directly from the royal houses of Yogyakarta, Pakualaman, Surakarta, and Mangkunegaran. All visitors must join a one-hour guided tour of the museum, where no photos are allowed.
