Martello Fortress was damaged because of the earthquake in 1966 and the eruption of Krakatau Mountain in 1883.
While visiting Kelor Island, you can also visit Onrust Island and Cipir Island. A museum contains historical relics from the VOC, such as a shipyard, grave, dock, and quarantine barracks. At that time, Onrust Island was used to quarantine pilgrims who had just returned.
