This place is special because the villagers are mostly from the Sasak Tribe. The Sasak Tribe is respected in Lombok because the people highly value cultural traditions. Villagers demonstrate their respect for these traditions by preserving traditional architecture. The buildings feature walls made of woven bamboo and roofs made of dried thatch.
