With the arrival of the Indian eVisa, Australians can apply for an Indian Visa on this website from the comfort of their homes. But you will still need a few things that aren't required for other country's visas.

How long are India visas valid?

You can choose from three lengths during the application process:

1 Year: Valid for 365 days from the date of approval and is valid for multiple entries.
5 Years: Valid for 5 years from the date of approval and is valid for multiple entries.

Any one stay can't be longer than 180 days (six months).
