Important news for those of you who like to vacation in Thailand; As of 1 May, 2025, all international tourists entering Thailand are required to fill out the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC).
The aim is to speed up the arrival and departure process, as well as increase national security by knowing the whereabouts of tourists while they're in Thailand.
The TDAC also replaces the paper TM6 form, which will no longer be used. This actually makes things much more convenient for travellers; the Thailand Digital Arrival Card information can be filled in online before arriving in Thailand. So you no longer have to awkwardly interrupt your seat-mate's in-flight movie to ask for a pen.
The TDAC entry requirement is mandatory for all foreign passport holders, including Australians.
All non-Thai passport holders arriving in Thailand by air, land or sea are required to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card. And, yes, this includes travellers from visa-exempt countries.
Have a Thai passport? Then you don't need to worry about filling this out.
You can fill out the TDAC at least three days before entering Thailand. To do so, you'll need your passport, flight and accommodation information. So make sure that's all booked before you start.
Here's what you need to do:
1. Go to the TDAC website
2. Click “Arrival Card”.
3. Enter your personal information, including details from your passport, then click "Continue".
4. Enter your travel and accommodation details, then click "Continue".
5. Enter the names of the countries you have stayed in within two weeks prior to arrival for health declaration purposes. If any of the countries are listed in the Ministry of Health requirements, the system will ask you to complete a health declaration.
6. Click "Add" to include additional tourist information and repeat the steps above for each tourist. If there is no more tourist data to be filled in, click "Next".
7. Review your information. If any details are incorrect, click "Edit".
8. Enter your email address to receive your Thailand Digital Arrival Card.
9. Check the box to agree to the Terms and Conditions, then click "Sent".
10. Download Thailand Digital Arrival Card or Thailand TDAC. You can also download or print TDAC from your email address.
When filling out the TDAC, you need to provide some important information, such as passport data (make sure your passport is still valid for at least six months before your departure date to Thailand), flight details (flight number and estimated time of arrival), accommodation information (name and address of your hotel or place of stay in Thailand), and other personal information such as name, nationality, and date of birth.
The TDAC form must be filled out online before arrival in Thailand.
Yes! There's no cost for travellers filling out the TDAC online.
