Jetstar's done it again -- it's added more flights to Bali to it's network and is offering introductory fares from just $199 each way.
The lucky airport is Melbourne's Avalon airport, which hasn't had any international flights since AirAsia's service to Kuala Lumpur which ended in March 2020.
"This is a massive step forward for Jetstar at Melbourne Avalon Airport," according to Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully, and we agree. It's been a long time coming for international flights to return to the Victorian airport.
As mentioned, they'll be starting from $199 each way.
This is a massive savings for travellers, as flights from Avalon to Bali throughout 2026 were previously being sold for $375 each way or more. And, those included a stop in another city first.
The first flight takes off on 23 March, 2026 -- just in time for an Easter school holidays getaway. And they go on sale at 12pm on 10 November, 2025.
To get this price, you'll need to book before the introductory sale ends at noon on Wednesday, 12 November.
Five flights per week are currenty planned for the six-hour journey. They'll depart Avalon every Monday, Wednesday Thursday, Friday and Sunday at 6:40pm (or 5:40 pm once daylight savings ends) and arrive in Bali at 9:50pm.
Departures from Bali are also on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, with an 11:25pm departure from Denpasar Airport, arriving back in Victoria at 8am (or 7am once daylight savings ends) the following morning.
Flight | Departure days | Departure | Arrival |

For the first week, there are no flights available on the Sunday and flight times are slightly altered.
The new route isn't seasonal, so you'll be able to travel all year round once it launches.
While we're most excited about the Avalon-Bali flights, the budget airline also announced it will be restarting flights from the airport to Adelaide, too. Flights will be available seven times per week in each direction.
