Whether you’re exploring Bangkok’s impressive temples and rich cultural heritage or soaking up the sun and lively nightlife in Pattaya, these two destinations complement each other just perfectly.

Start your journey in Bangkok — Thailand’s bustling capital and a major transport hub — where you can dive into the city's dynamic energy and visit its many historical landmarks. Once you’ve filled up on the city’s magnificent sights, head 150 kms southeast to the lively beach resort city of Pattaya, where you’ll get some well-deserved relaxation by the sea.

Where is Pattaya compared to Bangkok?

Bangkok is in central Thailand, along the banks of the Chao Phraya River, whereas Pattaya is located in eastern Thailand on the eastern shore of the Gulf of Thailand.

Pattaya is 150 kms southeast of Bangkok. The two cities are extremely well-connected, with multiple no-fuss transport options, which is why many travel to and from Pattaya and Bangkok often.

Your options for getting from Bangkok to Pattaya
