Bangkok’s rooftop bar scene takes the city to another level. Sky-high cocktails, 360° sunset views, and DJ sets that make you want to stay longer than planned. Whether you’re into laid-back lounges or full-blown party decks, there’s a rooftop for it. Some of the best ones are right on top of hotels, so you can eat, drink, and head to bed without leaving the lift. Here are the best rooftop bars in Bangkok worth adding to your night plans.

Sirocco

You’ve probably seen it on Instagram…or in The Hangover II. Sirocco is a big name for a reason. Sitting 63 floors up at lebua at State Tower, this is one of the world’s highest alfresco restaurants, with jaw-dropping 360° views and a menu full of Mediterranean favourites. We’re talking dishes inspired by everywhere from Rome to Beirut, paired with wine by sommeliers who know their stuff.

It’s not cheap, and it gets busy, but that’s part of the charm. Lebua guests can also check out the other rooftop spots—Distil, Flute, and more.

Sky on 20

This one’s a little gem, tucked up on the 26th floor of Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20. Sky on 20’s got a laid-back garden vibe with city views that stretch 270 degrees across Bangkok. It’s where cocktails come with prosecco bases and names like ‘Red Hot Lover’. You’ll also find wine, craft beer, and solid Mediterranean bites. People rave about the Surf & Turf and the pizza, especially the Prosciutto E Fungi.

The sunset happy hour from 5pm – 7pm pulls a crowd, but it still feels relaxed. Stay downstairs and you’ve got a stylish hotel to crash at once the drinks hit.

View Rooftop Bar

For something a bit more low-key, View Rooftop Bar at Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam does the job. It’s only on the 9th floor, but what it lacks in altitude, it makes up for in vibe. Think rooftop pool, comfy loungers, and a menu stacked with global bites and Thai favourites.

From 11am – 5pm it’s happy hour, and by night, there’s often a DJ spinning easygoing tunes. Grab a drink, sink into a seat, and let the city fade out in the background. You don’t need to be a guest to access the pool—just order from the bar and you’re good to go.

ThreeSixty Rooftop Bar

If you want river views without the crowds, this one’s a bit of a secret. Sitting on top of Millennium Hilton Bangkok, ThreeSixty Rooftop Bar gives you front-row seats to the Chao Phraya and Bangkok’s skyline from a glass cupola or out on the terrace.

Grab a lounge sofa, order a signature cocktail, and watch the city switch to night mode. Some nights there’s jazz, other nights a Picnic Hamper for two. Either way, the vibe is classy without trying too hard. It’s an ideal sunset spot, especially for couples or quiet catch-ups.

Red Sky

Smack in the middle of Bangkok’s shopping zone, Red Sky is perfect if you’ve just come out of CentralWorld and need to sit down with something stronger than a Thai iced tea. Sitting on top of Centara Grand, it starts on the 55th floor and goes even higher. The bar deals in classic Martinis, signature cocktails, and wines from around the globe. The restaurant ups the ante with Euro dishes like Wagyu Tenderloin Rossini and Surf & Turf.

Best time to go? Around sunset. You’ll get better seats, decent drink promos, and that golden light all over the skyline. Staying at the hotel makes it all too easy to roll back to your room afterwards.

Pastel Rooftop Bar

If you’ve ever wanted to eat like you’re in Mykonos while watching Bangkok glow below, Pastel at Aira Hotel is pretty much built for that. Up on Sukhumvit 11, this rooftop wraps you in Mediterranean charm. Think small plates, seafood, farm-to-table everything, and a solid list of wines and cocktails. The vibe leans festive, with DJs, live performers, and that soft golden lighting people love for photos.

Open from 5pm, it’s usually buzzing but not too hectic. The hotel underneath is a solid pick too, especially if you want to stay close to the action without overpaying for the postcode.

SEEN Restaurant & Bar

SEEN feels more like São Paulo than Bangkok, with its bold mix of South American and Japanese flavours and modern art déco styling. Found on the 26th and 27th floors of AVANI Riverside, it’s a two-level space where one floor is all about dinner and the other is pure bar.

The views? Unreal. Imagine the Chao Phraya River stretching out below you, skyline lighting up across the way. Hotel guests get a bit of a bonus too—there’s an infinity pool just next to the bar that’s worth packing your swimmers for. SEEN isn’t cheap, but it’s slick, stylish, and a bit of a name in Bangkok.

The Speakeasy Rooftop Bar

Tucked inside Hotel Muse on the 24th and 25th floors, The Speakeasy is all about that 1920s hidden bar feel, with plush interiors, low lighting, and a city view that’s almost perfect. We reckon the cocktail list is particularly impressive. You’ll find both twisted classics and new mixes that bartenders actually take pride in. There’s also a Michelin-rated chef doing upscale bar bites with a bit of an Asian twist.

It’s a quieter rooftop, slightly under the radar, and kind of perfect for a proper night out without all the chaos. Staying at Muse gives you access to the rooftop pool too, which is an underrated bonus.

Tulum Skybar

Tulum Skybar isn’t your usual rooftop scene. Up on the 29th floor of Estella Ekkamai, it’s more like a jungle party with city views. Opened in late 2023, the whole place is decked out with Mayan-style sculptures, hanging vines, tribal beats, and performers that bring the drama in the best way.

Drinks come with names like 'Aztec Fire Potion' and ‘Cenote Caramel Splash’. Food leans into Thai–Japanese fusion with a Mexican twist. Happy hour runs 5pm – 7pm with two-for-one cocktails, but it’s the fire shows and DJ sets that tend to keep people around well after.

Above Eleven

Above Eleven sits high on the 33rd and 34th floors of Fraser Suites and brings something different to Bangkok rooftops: Nikkei cuisine. That’s Peruvian–Japanese, for the uninitiated (aka us 20 minutes ago).

The setting is just as creative, with maze-like design touches, open spaces, and skyline views that wrap around. The sushi and sashimi are legit, and the cocktails follow the same fusion vibe—fresh, fruity, and not shy on the pours. DJs spin most nights, and sometimes you’ll find a live jazz band.

Book ahead if you’re going for dinner, and bring your A-game. There’s a smart casual dress code, and they do enforce it.
