If you've been holding out on booking that international flight or local escape, this is the time to finally sort a holiday. Qantas' annual Boxing Day sale usually brings big discounts to the full-service network with fares starting as low as $99 each way.

And that's just what we're expecting to see this year. It's often on the shorter routes, like Sydney-Ballina (Byron) or Melbourne-Launceston, but we're here for it.

Considering what we've seen from the Aussie carrier recently, this is very much in line with its current offerings. Just a few months ago we saw these fares on sale:

Official dates for the 2025 Qantas sale haven’t been announced, but Boxing Day sales usually to start on the day – that’s on 26 December, just after Christmas. Unlike Black Friday, it's unlikely they'll start any earlier.

In both 2024 and 2023, Qantas hosted a 72-hour sale with cheap fares across Australia. Although the last two were domestic-only deals, we're crossing our fingers (and toes!) that there will be some international fares in the 2025 sale.
