Things don’t always go to plan. Maybe your meeting ran over, your kids got sick, or you just need a breather. Whatever the reason, changing your flight or hotel booking shouldn’t be a hassle, and it definitely shouldn’t cost a fortune.
At Traveloka, we’ve made it easy to reschedule your plans without the usual stress. And for the rest of 2025, we’re waiving reschedule fees. That means more flexibility, less fuss, and one less thing to worry about when life gets in the way.
Here’s how it works, what other airlines charge, and how you can reschedule without the drama.
How much does it cost to reschedule a flight?
Here’s a quick look at what major airlines charge to change a flight:
These fees depend on the fare you buy. Pricier, flexible fares might waive the fee, but you’ll still pay any fare difference if your new flight costs more.
With Traveloka, our usual reschedule fee is AU$28 per passenger per route for both domestic and international flights. But good news: for the rest of 2025, we’re waiving this fee. You only cover any fare difference if the new flight is more expensive.
Most of the time, yes. Airlines charge a change fee plus any fare difference. Flexible fares cost more upfront but save you on change fees later. Cheaper fares are less flexible and sting you more if plans change.
With Traveloka, you normally see a clear, fixed reschedule fee, and now, that fee is zero until 31 December 2025. You just pay any fare difference for a more expensive flight.
Can you reschedule any flight?
Not all flights can be rescheduled. It depends on the fare type and airline rules. On Traveloka, it’s easy to check before or after booking.
When searching, tap the flight card, then hit the Reschedule Info tab. You’ll see if changes are allowed, how long they’re valid, and any extra costs.
After booking, go to My Booking on the app or website. Tap Refund & Reschedule, then Reschedule. Check the POLICY section to see your options.
We keep it clear, so there are no surprises. You always know where you stand before you book.
Change fees help airlines cover costs and keep prices lower for set-in-stone fares. It also means fewer last-minute gaps in their schedules.
With Traveloka waiving reschedule fees for the rest of 2025, you can switch up your plans without the stress or the big bill.
