Updated information about flight disruption due to Noru Typhoon in central Vietnam
The Central Airport Authority has officially announced the closure of airports affected by the Noru Typhoon to ensure the safety of passengers and flights, specifically:
- Chu Lai Airport: From 7:00 a.m. on September 27 to 6:59 p.m. on September 28
- Da Nang Airport: From 12:00 on September 27 to 11:59 on September 28
- Phu Bai Airport: From 12:00 on September 27 to 11:59 on September 28
- Pleiku Airport: From 12:00 on September 27 to 11:59 on September 28
- Phu Cat Airport: From 12:00 on September 27 to 11:59 on September 28

Vietjet Air announces the flight schedule adjustment due to the influence of Typhoon Noru as below:
1. Flights to/from airports Chu Lai (VCL), Da Nang (DAD), Phu Bai (HUI), Pleiku (PXU), Phu Cat (UIH) on 27 Sep will be cancelled:
- 8 flights to/from VCL from 7h00 27/9 to 7h00 28/9
- 27 flights to/from DAD from 12h00 27/9 to 12h00 28/9
- 12 flights to/from HUI from 12h00 27/9 to 12h00 28/9
- 2 flights to/from PXU from 12h00 27/9 to 12h00 28/9
- 8 flights to/from UIH from 12h00 27/9 to 12h00 28/9

2. Other flights on 27 Sep are also rescheduled due to influence of typhoon as below:
- Flights VJ701/702, DAD-VCA-DAD have STD 9h00 and 11h05, rescheduled to 7h00 and 9h05 on the same day.
- Flight VJ631, DAD-SGN has STD 13h05, rescheduled to 11h10 on the same day.
- Flights VJ725/726, HPH-DAD-HPH has STD 9h55 and 11h50, rescheduled to 9h15 and 11h15.
- Flights VJ719/718, DAD-PQC-DAD has STD 7h30 and 9h50, rescheduled to 6h30 và 8h45
- Flight VJ540, DADHAN has STD 12h10, rescheduled to 11h00.
- Flight VJ705, DAD-VCA has STD 12h15 rescheduled to 10h50.
- Flights VJ437/436 HAN-UIH-HAN have STD 14h50 and 16h35, rescheduled to 8h15 and 10h00.
- Flights VJ569/568 HAN-HUI-HAN, VJ304/305 SGN-HUI-SGN and VJ751/750 HPH-PXU-HPH are rescheduled to earlier departure
In addition, flights to/from airports Vinh (VII), Dong Hoi (VDH), Tuy Hoa (TBB), Lien Khuong (DLI) and Buon Ma Thuot (BMV) also have to rescheduled. Some flights are effected by chain. Passengers are supported in accordance with airlines service policy.
3. Refund and Reschedule Policy:
Reschedule
For schedule change > 1 hour from airlines
- Move to the earliest availability flight (the same sector)
- Move to the earliest availability flight (the same sector) but not earlier/later than 72hrs to STD
- Reroute within VJC
- Transfer the passenger's adjacent sector (operated by VJC, departing within 72 hours of the affected flight's STD) to another flight of the same segment with available seats
For schedule change > 3 hours from airlines
- Move to the earliest availability flight (the same sector) but not earlier/later than 72hrs to STD
- Reroute within VJC
- Transfer the passenger's adjacent sector (operated by VJC, departing within 72 hours of the affected flight's STD) to another flight of the same segment with available seats
Refund
For schedule change > 4 hours from airlines: CREDIT SHELL– REFUND for impacted flight, other flights in the same PNR, for another adjacent leg, the PNR departs within 72h from the affected flight's STD.
Note:
- Credit shell: 365 days from the date of receipt of the request from the customer
- Refund: Refunds include fare and transfer fee to the refundable flight sector, excluding transfer fee, fare difference and name change of previous flight sectors that VJ has changed under customer needs.

- Early >= 15 mins and < 1 hour or delay >= 1 hour and < 3 hours:
- Reschedule/Reroute to new flight within 72 hours of impacted segment: waive fee + waive fare difference
- Other reschedule/reroute: follow ticket rule
- Applicable for related segment in the same PNR, if it's within 72 hours of the SC segment
- Can only be supported free once
- Request must be made 3 hours before DOT
Cancelled flight with no replacement, Early > 1h, Delay >= 3h, or schedule more than 3 times:
- Reschedule/Reroute to new flight within 72 hours of impacted segment: waive fee + waive fare difference
- Other reschedule/reroute: follow ticket rule
- Applicable for related segment in the same PNR, if it's within 72h of the SC segment
- Can only be supported free once
- Request must be made 3 hours before DOT
Refund
- Early < 15 mins or delay < 1 hour: follow ticket rule
- Early >= 15 mins and < 1 hour or delay >= 1 hour and < 3 hours: follow ticket rule
- Cancelled flight with no replacement, Early > 1h, Delay >= 3h, or schedule more than 3 times:
- Refund fee is waived
- Cash refund
- Applicable for related segment in the same PNR, if it's within 72h of the SC segment
- Request must be made 3 hours before DOT
Ticket processing time:
From the time of notification until 07 days after the force majeure event ends.
Reschedule
Waive change fee for late/early flight from 15 minutes or more, collect fare difference incurred (if any).
Reroute
Waive change fee for late/early flights from 2 hours or more, collect fare difference (if any). It is allowed to change flight sectors for free in the same group of routes with the same fare:

Refund
Waive refund fee if:
- Late/early flight from 4 hours or more;
- Cancellation and replacement of flights departing 4 hours or more early than the origin departure time;
- Cancellation and no alternative or alternative causes the itinerary to be changed;
- Delay/early departure affects the connection and there is no alternative.
