We had a comfortable, spacious room at the Kingston Abode with new, well-equipped furnishings. Desk staff were friendly and helpful (desk staffed 8am-8pm). Breakfast vouchers enabled us to have a tasty breakfast across the street. Everything else we needed (transport, shops, gym) was within a block of the hotel.

Pet friendly. Meet two ladies with their pet dogs that otherwise would not have had such a good travel experience. The central area where we could get extra toiletries/milk/tea etc as we needed them. The pantry for meals in your room using the microwave.

Tucked away in a quiet, desirable suburb, this hotel offers a peaceful stay just 6km from the CBD. It’s a great option if you have a car, though it’s slightly removed from the action without one. Dining options by the lake are conveniently close by, adding to the appeal.
The room was impeccably clean and thoughtfully equipped. A heads-up for future guests - watch your step entering the bathroom due to a slight floor-level change or stubbed toes guaranteed, and be prepared for a bit of water to escape the shower area. Minor quirks, but nothing that detracted from our experience.
We were initially disappointed about the lack of secure parking, which was mentioned during booking, but found a free and convenient spot just a two-minute walk away, perfectly suitable for an overnight stay.
All in all, we’d happily recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again.
