Atlantis Hotel, Melbourne

The property was conveniently located close to train station and shopping areas. Staff were friendly. Smelt nice as soon as you entered the lobby. Could face washers be provided? Would probably be useful to have instructions for use of tv. Ours had been left on Chinese language and we weren’t able to figure out how to change to English and therefore weren’t able to use the tv. But apart from that we had a very welcoming and happy stay. Thank you

Stayed in room 1520 for 26 nights. I've stayed at Atlantis many times, but this is the first time I had a room facing the street. What I didn't anticipate was the level of noise street-side. Opposite the hotel is the new police HQ and quite a few nights per week I could hear police sirens of patrol cars leaving their base in the middle of the night. If you are a light sleeper, request a room on the opposite side of building facing CBD instead of facing bay. To be clear, it didn't really bother me, because I am both a very late sleeper and a heavy sleeper (so I didn't bother to ask to change room), but I know some people might mind. Otherwise, room's haven't changed in 20 years. Rooms are well maintained. I do enjoy the walk-in showers that are very spacious. Staff were helpful in microwaving food I needed heating up. No nasty surprises, like cockroaches or ants. Continental breakfast is very basic consisting of scrambled eggs, choice of bread/toast, baked beans, a spread of different cereals, orange juice, apple juice, ice water, and a selection of hot drinks. Cost is $15 per person. I did get to use the gym this time. There are a couple treadmills, which is mainly what I was interested in, but aside for those you have the usual spread of equipment, bikes, rowing machine and dumb bells. Coles supermarket and an Asian supermarke are 2 minutes walk, so if you need to stock up on snacks, drinks or cup noodles. Wouldn't hesitate staying at Atlantis again

Atlantis Hotel is conveniently located near the Southern Cross Railway Station also, great restaurants like La Cacina, in Little Bourke, and close to trams and shopping. Rooms are clean and the continental breakfast is a handy addition, for early morning starts. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Stay at the hotel was really good. It was well maintained and clean with good amenities. Reception staff could have been a bit more helpful at check in by providing more information about the stay and what’s included in the room especially about car parking. But got sorted eventually. Overall a really good stay.

The Atlantis is a great affordable clean hotel in an excellent location of Melbourne

The Atlantis is within walking distance to everything. From Shops to Transport via Trams and Trains and Skybus and also places to dine. This stay is our 4th so far this year, we have another stay planned in late September. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are lovely. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else, we highly recommend this Hotel.

The Atlantis Hotel is the only place we stay at in Melbourne. It is clean, the staff are very accommodating and it close to everything we need.

Clean, central, convenient!

Great position to Southern cross station

Whilst this hotel has a convenient location I left feeling very disappointed in this stay. Have stayed here previously and had a good experience but won’t waste my money here again. Room hadn’t been cleaned properly, shower head was damaged and leaked. Bathroom sink had a crack through it. Very disappointing indeed. Email was sent to reception/management with these issues asking for them to be addressed and still 4 days later no response provided. Very disappointed.

This is a good budget hotel close to public transport and easy access to the airport bus.

Needed a last minute room after my flight was delayed and subsequently missed the last train home at southern cross. The Atlantis is so close to the station and such great value. The room was spacious and clean, huge modern bathroom, and so quiet even right on Spencer street.
