Australian Hotel Boonah

It was great for an old pub stay. Very old building, delightful and full of character. Bathrooms could do with an update

Property is very old, but was clean and comfy. Stairways are steep and narrow, so definitely NOT recommended for anyone with mobility issues.

Walls are paper thin. Make sure you confirm with property directly that you have the ensuite if that’s what you booked. Staff were awesome. Clean, comfortable, convenient to everything :) Would definitely stay here again.

Friendly staff affordable great location

Although my room had an ensuite and facilities to make Coffee/Tea, Toast or microwave you had to unplug the fridge to use the appliances and there were no utensils, cutlery, cups, plates etc. The stairs were dark as well as the areas outside the door/s to be used at night to enter the building.

Friendly staff. Rooms are old but clean and tidy, external bathroom and toilet were always clean. Really couldn't complain for tge price.

Great cheap stay

Quite clean needs a little spruce up , extra pillows on the bed but overall ok for an old Hotel

When went to bed (late, bar/reception closed) could not use top bunk as animal(?) hair all over bed. Cockroaches in room. Old creaky rooms with thin mattresses. Would not recommend or stay here again.

Potentially could be charming but it just looks old, dirty & unloved. Seriously please look around you’ve got some interesting old furniture but can’t see it as it blends in with the general old man’s shack feeling. The bed & bedding I believe are the original items when pub open 100 years ago… Maybe apply for a makeover on TV show or something because it needs help…

We should have checked that there were difficult stairs to manage (elderly travellers). staff was friendly and helpful.

I grew up in the area. It's nice to visit with an "old friend". Easy on the hip pocket, friendly helpful staff and within walking distance of everything you need. Even if I don't require accommodation, a trip to "The Aussie" is a must whenever I travel to Boonah/Fassifern Valley/Scenic Rim!

100 year old building, run down and no air-conditioning so we didn't stay

One of the dirtiest/smelliest place I have lived in . Would have been better to stay in my car

Do not stay here. It’s a boarding house. Girl living there in room next to ours smoked drugs all night long. All 4 pubs shut no meals on a Sunday night. Police had high presence when we had travelled 10000s km we had not seen any. This property should not be on web site. Very disappointed in them worst one ever

There was tea and coffee provided, but no cups.

Didn't think there would be half drunk old men walking the corridor in a towel

Rung to say we were at a function and asked what time was latest check in Told 8pm Due to issues with navigation system we were 5 mins late The door was locked and no one answered door ! Thankfully another guest arrived and let a lone travelling woman in and found a staff member who was leaving No tea/ coffee supplied , no cups, no nothing except a good shower Not good enough for any traveller let alone international travelers This was booked last minute as other accomodation short in area It was cheap to stay at $190 for 2 nights Would the traveller stay again Never
