BIG4 Port Elliot Holiday Park

clunking ceiling fan, dirty dishes in cupboard, blankets needed a wash, booking photos do not represent what you are booking just general park and pictures of updated units, overall nice spot close to a beach, ole girl doing the rounds a treasure,

It was a lovely location but the cabin needs upgrading, especially the bathroom. You need to get in the bath to shower and there was mould around the bath. There needs to be ceiling fans in bedrooms, as the air conditioner doesn’t reach. Otherwise it was a good sized cabin

Unfortunately, the owners of this Big4 are very much letting the brilliant location sell for them. We stayed here about three years ago and it was in need of upgrading, repair and maintenance then. It’s clearly not been done and the park has been left to a state of disrepair. The cabins are in desperate need of upgrading and are generally not well cleaned or maintained. There was mould spawning on the ceiling above the shower cubicle, none of the window screens fit, hence the bug and spider problem, the floor tiles are all cracked and need replacing, the door locks and handles are faulty and the water pressure is far too strong and too hot despite trying to adjust the temperature. The park itself sports dead grass almost everywhere and the playground is a dirty sandpit of rubbish. There was also a miscommunication regarding a deposition not being taken at time of booking and at check in, the woman was rather rude when I queried it and wanted to check my banking before paying the full amount. We won’t be staying here again. Highly recommend The Beach Huts at Middleton or other local caravan parks.

Location is great, well maintained park.

I stay in a cabin every year & I like the tranquility of where the cabins are situated. So peaceful.

Cabin i had was very old and the bathroom had a very strong small of mould. Air condtioner very noisy. I am aware there were other newer cabins available within the park. However great location with a great walking track for an early morning walk with all the bunnies!

I'd be happy to stay again

Our cabin was comfortable and clean. The area on the whole is beautiful. Walking distance to pretty much everything. The grounds are lovely and beautifully kept. Peaceful location with lots of bird life and pristine beaches. Will definitely return. Thanks for a nice couple of days.

Warm and neat accomodation

Great location & facilities

This is a really great holiday location for a family. We stayed for business (out of convenience) but it is a great location. The room and features are budget oriented but the room had everything most families would need. We were comfortable and warm.

I holiday here every year & always come away happy with everything, from accommodation to locality.

Place was ok if a little tired and overpriced. Would have liked an earlier check in even if it was just to park the car.

Well set out park lots of space

The cabin was basic but well equipped and clean. Friendly and helpful staff.

Have stayed at several BIG4's around Australia and this was the most ordinary we have encountered. Reception wasn't the most inviting and going through the motions. If it wasn't for the extraordinary bay nearby, I would have stayed elsewhere. Live and learn. Glad the caravanners like it there.
