DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns

Room is nice and clean, location is perfect, close to many restaurants but outside busy areas.

Swimming pool out of service and under reconstruction, breakfast buffet average used to be really good 😌 staff seemed friendly and helpful a little too over helpful in dining room.

Liked the location. Shower rise was broken.

I booked this room very last minute and was pleasantly surprised at how great the rooms looked and felt. Bed was comfortable and made for a great night sleep. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful during my stay. Will definitely be booking again soon.

Nice hotel

Everyone was so wonderful, especially Adila and Anne. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Check in was good - given a warm choc chip cookie - not had that before - strange - was told we had an upgrade - however the room was small - large tv but not here to watch tv - bathroom was very small and no extra or fan so very humid and steamy when showering - So dread to know what the original booked room would have been like ! Air con not working all night although cool when we arrived at 5 pm - very uncomfortable night hot and humid didn’t sleep well at all bed not too great either to be honest - felt like in a boat each time partner turned over due to being uncomfortable with the heat - strange thing is air con literally started to work at 10.40 am just before we checked out at 11am - is this normal practice to save money ??? Does this happen in every room ? Seems strange - staff very friendly and polite - nice breakfast - but again not all about the food - more about a comfortable nights sleep - especially when you have to catch a flight the next day! - was offered a small refund on the cost $50 which was accepted - but personally will not book this hotel again - stayed in another hotel in Cairns two weeks ago which was cheaper - the room was huge - bathroom big with extractor - and had full control over the air con which is a major factor to me .

Older hotel which needs some sprucing up. Also currently under renovation in their pool area. They have a sister hotel nearby and if you want to swim you can walk or they will pay for an uber.

The hotel was well positioned, close to all amenities. The rooms were clean but most of the lights didn’t work; though it was fixed later when reported. We checked in very late but the lady in the desk was very nice and accommodating. Over all a very nice experience.

I am filling a complaint with numerous issues please see in due course the complaint as it is Sunday still tired

Perfect spot for family

Overall Stay was pleasant and convenient. We stayed for 5 nights and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast in the morni g was my favourite with lots to choose from. The only disappointment was the Atrium restaurant menu which definitely needs to be reviewed for pricing vs the portion served. Also the Swimming pool was under maintenance which wasn't imformed or warned at the timenof the booking. So they were offering free uber to attend Their another sister Hotel Hilton that had a working swimming pool.

The Double Tree is always a good olace to stay when in Cairns.. It’s location is great and metres from The Esplanade and restaurants etc.. Easy to get to the boats if you’re going to the Islands of Cairns .
