We had a lovely one-night stay and only wish we could’ve stayed longer. The staff were warm, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The space was cosy, clean, and perfect for a winter getaway. The location is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views all around—and we even got lucky with a crackling bonfire under the stars during the Tassie winter. A truly memorable experience!

I had booked Great Lake Hotel as an overnight stop between Strahan and Hobart. I made a mistake and booked Great Lake Hotel one night earlier than our actual arrival time. The staff and Great Lake Hotel were extremely accomodating to our situation (we were known as Room 7, since that is the room number we were supposed to have used on the previous night), and allowed us to stay in Room 3 with no extra charge. We had a good dinner at the restaurant while our room was prepared. After dinner, we had a nice conversation with the a person we assumed to be the owner. What could have been a disaster turned into a story with a happy ending.
Room 3 was pleasant enough, with a nice view of the lake and a comfortable bed for a good night's sleep.

I had to approach the staff later aftter i checked my card.
I was old my card wojld be refunded but this not happened yet = the day after..
Food was very good. Drinks were expensive.

The room was very clean and very tidy with a fabulous king size bed. The room was very modern but also very compact, so not a lot of space to move around. Nice view out over the lake
