Decent city centre hotel, clean, tidy, friendly and helpful staff. Nothing wrong with it at all. Except 1 of the lifts to rooms was not working on a Friday, not great but tbf, didn't make that much difference.

Amazing stay! Rooftop bar exceeeded all expectations.

Well located hotel, but it has a lack of personality. The check in desks are tucked away to the side. The pool area was unattended, just people replacing towels every so often, but tables and chairs were not cleaned. The rooftop restaurant has great views, but the food isn’t good. The first room we were given on the 4th floor looked into a wall, so we asked to be moved to the 6th floor, but we were charged an extra $40 x night, though the room looked the same, but with a nicer view. The Wc has no toilet brush and it’s impossible to keep it clean. The rest is pretty standard for Australia, with no breakfast included.

Chose this hotel because of the pool and were told on check-in that the pool would be closing at 3pm for a wedding. Very disappointed. Hotel seemed quite basic for the price. Overpriced…

Good location for the night life of Fortitude Valley and an easy walk to the closest river ferry stop and Felons brewery and restaurants area. Roof top pool and cocktail bar were great with views over the city. Staff were friendly and service good. We found the volume a bit high for conversations. It would have been nice to have had an area screened off where the speakers were turned down. We still liked it though and the pool was lovely. The room looked nice and was a decent size but housekeeping was poor. The room wasn't made up on one of the days. Also, coffee pods nor replaced, surfaces left unwiped, carpet didn't look like it has seen a hoover. Glass doors on the bathroom is an oddity to us too...why do they do that? Breakfast was a high spot. Service and food were excellent. Nice area to start the day. The biggest negative was the management. We had several issues: 1. On arrival (jetlagged) we were told our booking did not include breakfast but we thought it did. They were adamant it did not so we ate elsewhere on the first day. Then, I checked my app etc, found it did include breakfast and after showing reception, they agreed and blamed inexperienced staff. 2. On checkout, we were charged another person's room service. 3. The bill was confusing with areas that required clarification. 4. Poor housekeeping indicates that management are not monitoring.

Everything was great, however I was expecting a couple of complimentary bottles of water to keep the overall standard at the same level. Otherwise great stay.

The place has a very hip - young vibe - very modern.

Staff so frieny

It was so conveniently located (we had a wedding to attend 500m up the road at Cloudlands) and near everything we needed over the 3 days we were in Fortitude Valley. A hairdresser across the road, a barber shop further along, convenience store, burger, kebab, icecream shop, bakery, restaurants and bars. Car parking (though that was honestly overpriced) onsite.

Reasonable price. Rooms were funky.

Great location and value

Our stay was only for 1 night and we didn't have the time to take advantage of all that the hotel offers, but we were very happy with our accommodation. The hotel is very well located. The staff were exceptional - helpful and cheerful.

Location & facilities positive

The room on the first floor smelt bad and the drain in the shower was blocked which was the reason for the smell. We were moved to a different room, but that was a downgrade from our original room we paid for. The only compensation was a voucher for a beer/wine in the hotel bar.

Have stayed here a few times and have noticed it’s really starting to deteriorate quite quickly for a newish hotel. Pool area tiles are cracking, one area had one already fallen off. Just needs a bit more TLC. Staff were lovely as always though
