Irene and David's beautiful BandB was everything and more a traveler could want. Wonderful hospitality, a very relaxing bed and room, great food and drink, with all the trimmings of a 5-star lodge from yesteryear. We highly recommend it to anyone traveling the Midlands Highway to stop over at Campbell Town and enjoy the comforts of Ivy on Glenelg.

This is one of the very few remaining “true and proper” B & B’s (the meaning of the B&B), like they used to be before “air B&B” etc., came along. Well done to the owners.

The continental breakfast supplies were excellent and very generous. The surroundings were very quiet. The bathroom was a good size. The full size fridge and washing machine were very good. Overall we found it very comfortable.
Our only negative comment is that the standard of cleanliness was a little disappointing

This traditional B B was full of charm and exceptionally comfy beds! The attention to detail in the decor, table layouts etc was lovely and the provisions for breakfast catered for everything you could want. Pod coffee and hot frothed milk was an unexpected delight. The hosts were genuinely lovely and helpful and the peaceful gardens and bird baths with the beautiful trees in blossom made me want to stay much longer than I was able. Highly recommend for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

My husband and I stayed for one night at the Dry Cottage in Ivy on Glenelg and were blown away by how cosy and comfy it was. We reached in the evening and initially considered eating out but decided to stay in after seeing how well equipped the cottage was with all manner of creature comforts. The Dry Cottage comprises just one room with an ensuite bathroom, but thanks to the clever optimisation of space, the room fits a bed, two sofas and a TV, a lounge area, a dining table, a kitchen area with a dishwasher and fridge, and even a washing machine. For those who wish to cook, the kitchen includes rice, a variety of pasta, instant noodles, various condiments and equipment (even a rice cooker!) for your use. Breakfast provisions were very generous as well - a variety of bread, cereals, milk, juice, muffins, and delicious yoghurt with fresh berries. Fret not about getting bored too, as the owners have thoughtfully provided books and DVDs for your enjoyment. Was impressed as well by how the bathroom had senior friendly features like handlebars and seats. The only small downside was that the Wifi didnt work very well when we were there, but overall it was a fantastic experience. Thanks to our hosts for your warmth and hospitality!

Breakfast- so much to choose from, so we had our poached eggs (fresh from chooks) and bacon for dinner. Lovely quiet courtyard, interesting house to stay in. Very helpful host.

Hazardous regarding mobility, cramped inside not a lot of room to move around, dangerous steps inside. Appreciate it’s an old building but if you need space at all to move between bed, seat, room very difficult, small steps inside are dangerous.
