Battery flat in the air-con remote and heating did not work

Room was clean but very dated. Toilet door did not close. No towel rails. Very noisy environment.

The shower is just metal flooring with no waterproof wall panels. There’s a slight sewage smell from the toilet which is heavily stained from mineral deposits in the water. Both shower and toilet rooms require full renovation. Pillows and bed coverings appear new and the bed was comfortable. Couldn’t get wifi to work at all.

being here for a few days, we really missed a kitchen sink, but managed. It was safe and quiet and very relaxing. Clearly, a lot of care is put in to making this a nice place to stay. Could use a deep/bond clean but otherwise, nice.

This is a typical mining town motel...they're never clean enough. Expect plenty of spider webs and dust outside, the curtains haven't been cleaned for decades I'm sure. The bedspread and banket both smelled funky. The bed was pretty comfortable and the sheets were clean at least. Thin walls between the rooms; I could hear the guy snoring next door. Not great value for money but there's not much choice in town. Easy walk to the main street. Eat at the Tattersalls Hotel...it's good.

Clean room though it smelt like smoke. Comfortable bed and a quiet but much older section of the motel. We appreciated being able to leave our car on site and off the street for the whole day while we went on the Dinosaur Stampede tour. Thank you.

Clean and comfortable rooms and the staff are absolutely lovely to deal with.

The managers were very friendly & accommodating. The rooms however were very dated but the hot water was instantaneous & the bed comfortable.

I would stay again

We stayed for two nights at the Matilda hotel and were disappointed at the standard of the accommodation. We were in the back section of the motel that could do with some maintenance. The motel is a short walk from the middle of town. We would not stay at this motel again.

Terrible wifi, useless curtains, thin walls- you can hear your neighbour cough & whisper, bore water smells terrible, very over priced, tiny television with few stations, Dirty towel

This motel is within an easy walk to the main street of the town. It was quiet but dusty as the area was unsealed. There are no restaurants in Winton but the 2 pubs were closeby with excellent meals. Not many motels around. We were happy with our choice. Town uses bore water.
