Unexpectedly good value. Clean, all necessary facilities (and more), awesome owner. Style is a bit dated but I don't want to pay extra for "style". It's on a main road so traffic noise may be an issue for some people but it wasn't for me. I wish I had found this place years ago and I would definitely stay there again.

Ploughmans- second time we’ve stayed here and it’s still good. Good service and communication by the owner- lovely service. We’ll keep coming back definitely!

Before we had arrived, I received a simple message that let me know the easy way to obtain the room key, all without complaint, which showed understanding of how things can just get busy on a trip. Made check in and checkout seemless (perfect.) And, the other thing my wife and I would like to highlight is that the bathroom had a non slip style tile floor throughout which we feel is perfect if you have small kids like we do. We highly recommend Plowmans.

The property is dated, the yard next door to it had a truck, running its motor from 2am to 3am, which was terrible,the bathroom door wouldnt stay open, the bathroom door also had hole, loose towel holder and walls pilling with holes, heater noisy outdated, needs a bit of love

A bit of truck noise overnight might bother those noise sensitive.
A very reasonable rate gives you a spotless room, comfortable bed, decent TV, good bathroom with walk in shower.
You even get tea, coffee and biscuits.
Parking on site. Very good value.

I don’t think you should have to wash up you cups etc in the hand basin in the bathroom .they should be washed in a dishwasher.There was a fine for any dirty utensils left .It makes you wonder how clean the crockery and cutlery are very unhygienic. wouldn’t stay again

The staff were great and the room was clean and comfortable. Being so close to the highway meant it was noisy until later into the night. It was nice to be able to order breakfast and have it delivered in the morning.
