Beach resort oasis on the edge of desert. Varying accommodation options available, our budget accommodation, double with bunk beds had a shared bathroom between 2 rooms, was compact but suitable. Unfortunately room smelt like stale wet footwear and windows don't open.

The dolphins are the main attraction. The room was not very big, but it’s okay for 3 nights. Good eating options and an amazing place in nature. Definitely worth the driving.

This is a large waterfront resort where they have the Dolphin Experience. There are varied accommodation options. Our beachfront room was a good option. We live in a coastal area and found the dolphin experience offered at Monkey Mia very disappointing.

(1) waited over an hour for breakfast to be served and it didnt even seem fresh
(2) ants in our kitchen in unit
(3) No hot water for showers in family units 3 seperate times
(4) ride on buggies cast $20 / hour! free at most other resorts
(5) the $15pp entry fee to the park is ridiculous when the dolphins can be seen naturally most times of the day

The location of this park is fantastic and is a coastal haven for those travelling in a group or with young families.
The dolphin talks were very informative (hosted by passionate and knowledgeable people) and we saw lots of wildlife during our short stay - dolphins, turtles, emus, lots of fish and birds.
Only downside is the noise levels for quiet couples can be a bit much! Didn't get a lot of sleep. But overall it was worth staying and would do it again.

Our family had a great one-night stay. The accommodation was less than 400m away from the dolphin viewing experience area. The bed was comfortable and the kitchenette is well-equipped. The restaurant on-site served great steaks and seafood.
