Tiki Hotel Surfers Paradise

Do not stay here! This hotel is so over priced for what I paid for one night. The mattress on the bed is so old, when I sat on it, it left a permanent dent. Unbelievably noisy as the address states one road but it’s actually on the corner of the Gold Coast highway so impossible to have a window open at night for fresh air. The windows were dirty, mirrors dirty, the place is just old and should be renovated or knocked down. Had very little sleep and just got up very early and left. Surfers paradise is a dump, many nicer places on the GC than this area.

Very dated but so much space. Affordable stay but be aware it’s noisy on the weekends.

We like the rooftop spa and the location of the property. Was good, would stay again.

Beautiful rooms . Amazing views . Friendly staff and very helpful. It'll be our only choice for staying at the Gold Coast.

This property is very ran down in need of a lot work. It is quite noisy off the main road. Demographic of this hotel is not good for families (rough crowd)

We spent two night here reception was good but the room was very rundown fans were very dirty the dishwasher filter was extremely dirty only had a hand full of tv receptions. The stairs going down to the main area was not yellow tapped so made it hard to navigate down. There also was panels coming off the walls. The noise from around the hotel was extremely loud. Also the it states on information that you can get towels from reception for pool use but when asked they said no use what’s in your room. Would not recommend Hope they lift there standards

Rooms are a bit noisy as windows are not sound proof.

Rooms need a total overhaul felt dirty

Vile don’t bother going here mould on pillows and sheets springs hanging out of mattresses, no towels in bedrooms or Bin linners in bins showers dirty absolutely miserable place

The apartments were in a great position, the building is showing it's age, but overall good space in the unit and nice view. Lovely hot water.

Pros: The property is good. Reasonably priced, well cleaned, has a car park underneath (for a reasonable fee), has two lifts, the rooms are spacious, the staff (reception, manager, and housekeepers) are amazingly nice and helpful. The view from the room (of the river) through the wall to wall windows is outstanding. Cons: The hotel is unmanned at night, which is OK, I don’t expect a room service or housekeeping, however, during one night there was a very loud bunch of guests on our floor who were yelling, screaming, partying, slamming doors well into 3 AM. I called the after hours line around midnight, then again around 3 AM, then around 7 AM the security came and banged at their doors to evict them, but I had a whole sleepless night by that point. On some other nights some lesser inconveniences happened, so my problem with not having any staff on duty at night is that this attracts people who know they can be loud and may not face consequences for it. The room we got (two queen bed apartment) has only one split air conditioning unit in the kitchen and living room, the rest (the main bedroom with two queen beds) had only a ceiling fan, which is OK given we were in the winter, but we would have been stewing and marinating in my own sweat if it was summer. The wall to wall windows in the room are nice, but sadly are not safe for little children, they have no rails behind them so a child could easily fall against a window and fall through if the glass breaks.

The place It’s ok. But the bedding is old and need an upgrade

Was highly disappointed in the state of the room obviously the cleaners to do there job properly. There was blood on pillowcases, blood on sheet under the mattress, ladies dirty underwear in a freezer bag pushed down between the mattress and pillow and no rubbish bin in the kitchen and a wine glass had a big crack down the side.

Needs a face lift, looking tired
