The Wallaby Backpackers Hostel is falling to peaces, very noisy, gruby, the free breakfast is a joke, milk cereal and coffee, no elevator if you have heavy luggage, better off paying a little extra for a proper hotel.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a private room as a couple and it was not a nice experience. The private rooms were in the basement which is full of damp with no windows and smelt awful. The rooms aren’t actually cleaned, just hoovered after you leave. They give you your bedsheets on arrival for you to make the bed yourself (not a nice start when you see the dirty mattress protector which you’ll be lying on!) The showers were disgusting, the shower curtains need burning, they were covered from top to bottom in mold in the men’s bathroom. The kitchen was cleaned each day so that felt fairly tidy however there’s only one small worktop to prepare food on so it got busy really quickly. If you want a cheap stay in a great location and don’t care about all of the above, then it could be worth it to you, but it wasn’t to us.
