Central in Paro.Paro is smaller than Thimbu and acording my oppinion more worth visiting. Depending of time of visit you may need varm clouth because nighttime it can be below 0 degrees celsius. It is amzing there still is a people not destroid by civilisation. They are genuin friendly and you will not see "white trash" in Bhutan. The fee 100 USD per night is used for free school and healthcare for the local people. I visited Bhutan first time 20 years ago and it is still the same-the new is mobilophone and excelcellent internet.

Hotel Khamsun Paro could not provide us rooms inspite our prior booking through Expedia 4 months in advance. Offered us inferior alternative hotel initially but after our refusal gave us rooms in Rema resort a bit far from centre but good property. We were very disappointed because after 7 hours of hectic road journey we had to go to other property after wait of 2 hours.

The rooms are very small and if you are there for a leisure holiday, you will find yourself suffocating. The staff initially greeted us warmly at the time of check in, however the staff was rude when we asked for the extra bed for which we had already paid. The food was ordinary and it was served in very unhygienic way. The cups had stains of tea and the plates were unclean. We would definitely not go back there and would not recommend this hotel to anybody.
