Angra Beach Hotel

This is a lovely hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms. We enjoyed our stay overall but were disturbed by noises from 4am every morning (possibly because we were placed on the floor below the restaurant/entertainment area) and also construction noises from 8am every day of our 5 night stay. We would have appreciated being informed at check in that there would be disturbances.

A very nice hotel in Angra. Valet parking was a real plus. Breakfast options were plentiful, and the topmost floor had a lot of space to hang out or work. The area offered a wide variety of dining options within walking distance. Despite the name Angra Beach Hotel, it is not located by the beach, but it offers a free daily pass to a very nice beach in the Ilha da Jipoia. I will stay at this hotel again if I am ever back in Angra.

Great option to stay in Angra

The hotel in question is misrepresenting its accommodations - do not trust the photos. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the "Superior Suite" did not match the advertised images. Several furnishings, including floor lamps, bedside lamps, and bed stools, were absent from the room. One of the TVs was not working. The air conditioning units were in a state of disrepair, leaking water onto the walls. Additionally, there was evidence of human bodily fluids on the pillows, as documented in the attached photographs. The glass barrier on the balcony was cracked, posing a health and safety risk to guests. Due to the unacceptable conditions, we were compelled to check out after the first night, despite having a reservation for four nights. Regrettably, the hotel manager has been unresponsive and has declined to issue a refund for the remaining nights, even after intervention by the Hotels.com representative.

I think is the best hotel in Angras,the Angra beach in is beautiful the staff is nice,I will be back !!

Great room size, amazing staff, great facilities. Had some ants in the washroom but being in a tropical country I guess that’s expected.

Staff is very helpful and polite. Pousada by the beach belonging to the hotel was awesome, secluded and private. Great place to spend the day, highly recommend.

Good place to stay

Friendly staff. Clean and close to town centre.

This property is in the town with a shuttle to a small patch of beach next to Angra Inn. Tours will pick you up from the hotel but you have to Uber back. Limited dining experiences at Pirates Mall and downtown Angra.

The private beach that you have access to by a free hotel transportation was amazing. Staff was top of the line. Breakfast was excellent too

Great value for the money

Booked this hotel for 3 nights as was called a beach hotel and the pictures on the website showed the hotel on the beach... this was not the case and it couldn’t have been further from the beach.. I left this hotel after 1 night and the hotel would not refund me the money

Very functional hotel. Check in took along time as they had no record of our booking, i had to call hotel.com who were excellent and 5 minutes later they found the reservation. (50 rooms and my Dutch name was missed???) then had to wait for room to be cleaned, got to room at 5pm. But hotel is probably the nicest in Angra.

The name “Beach “ and showing pictures of the beach, we were expecting a beach. But instead, it was in town but everything else was good 👍. The room was clean nice safe walkable

It's a good hotel. The staff really cares.

This is in no way a beach hotel. The photo on travelocity shows a nice pool and deck in the front of the beach. The hotel is in the middle of the city. At check in they claimed that my prepayment for our rooms was just to hold them so we paid another fee for our rooms. They never refunded my pre-payment. I explained this to the staff and they said the manager would do it when he arrived. The next morning at check out the staff had no idea of this issue and then when it was explained they claimed the manager was not available. I suggested they call him. They sent him text messages saying he would refund the money to my bank account. I gave them the information and left. They never returned the funds. As I said it is in the city not on the beach. They have a dock, a small beach and a decrepit building by the beach. You need to ride in their ancient van to get there. Once there we were entertained by a dog chasing and barking at at a cat for over an hour. Truly awful. All travelers should avoid this hotel.
