Copacabana Mar Hotel

Its an outdated hotel but you will be comfortable based on your needs. Had ac and hot water, wifi gave some trouble, but i would call for assistance and they aided as best possible. Having a Tv was of no use since none of the cable channels were in English. Its central, good for walking to anything u could need, food, grocery options, beach and ideal for some tour pickups. Staff is helpful and friendly.

There was just about no wifi in the room. I heard other people complaining too so it wasn't just my room. There was a charge to use the room safe. Unbelievable! I have stayed in 100 hotels and this is the first time that this has happened.

Efficient and reasonable hotel in a great location. Desk manager was amazing. I think his name is Piedro.

The room , to be more specific, the bathroom, need to be renovated yesterday.

The property was conveniently located next-door to a parking structure. The daily parking fee was reduced because we were staying at the hotel. There was a complimentary breakfast as well. The staff at the hotel were very nice and welcoming. My issue was with the room itself. The room was not maintained very well. The shower door does not close so water was all over the bathroom floor. There was mold in the shower, the bathroom mirror and in the bedroom. The pictures hanging over the beds also had mold under the glass in the frame. The air conditioning vent was dirty. The mini fridge was very dirty. The window opens all the way even though you are 12 floors up. It is not safe for children.

The place is not that great, the staff is very friendly, and the location is great, Copacabana is a live neighborhood.

Location is amazing, preferred to park the car next door and use Uber for everything, traffic in Rio can be very confusing and not very pleasant to deal with. Hotel has a deal with the car park, very handy. Room need a little update but overall, a good stay.

In my opinion This hotel is a disgrace, I suspect there are a lot of fake reviews. This is no where near a 4 star hotel.We arrived and asked to be changed from our first room issued, due to the poor condition.The second room was similar with mould and grime.The third room was the same as the other two rooms we were offered. The shower had mould, the shower lining was falling off the walls. The return air vent in the ceiling was completely full of dust. The towels were so thin from wear you could see through them and one had a hole I could put my finger through. The safe in the cupboard had no lock in it. However it was available for an additional daily charge for the lock and key if you wanted to use it.The rooms we saw were old and very outdated and in need of a serious attention Management were not helpful. The only positive thing was the location and the breakfast was reasonable. I personally would not stay at this hotel again.

Run down hotel. Beware if you ask for dinner suggestions - the pizza restaurant they took us to tried to rip us off. Front desk guy admitted they get a kickback. We ordered 39 Reale dinner and were charged 89. Language barrier made it difficult to argue it. Awful bed. Not enough towels. Door handle bathroom was broken and air conditioning remote did not work. Breakfast was plentiful. Close walk to beach. But I won’t stay again.

There was nothing good about this hotel. The place is a dump. The hotel was dated, the room wasn't clean, and the washroom had mold and the showerheads had rust stains. We ended up leaving the hotel early after one night and booking a nicer one. We tried telling the front desk about the issues and they didnt seem to think the problems I mentioned were an issue.

The hotel seems very old, like from the 90s. The lift is incredibly slow. The fridge in the room was not in good condition. Shower head was horrible. The staff were lovely but the hotel needs some maintenance and updates.
