I really loved my stay. I felt welcoming. The place is beautiful with many places to relax including the pool and the dry sauna. I would stay again for sure.

Pousada Casa de Maria is very pretty in the photos. It is very floral. But it is like being in a Prison Camp. You get a feeling of oppression, and clostrophobia. Plus all their rules. It is a pretty Hotel. The food is good. But the constant intrusion of the staff and owner. One time we were eating our meal at the table, and the staff told us to lift our plates and glasses so she could wipe the table. A total intrusion. You are trying to relax by the pool, which is more ornamental than functional, and the owner is carrying out constant maintenance, all day. Fussing around the plants and grass that your sun bed rest on. A normal hotel would have a sprinkler system. The owner has a sprayer bottle, (maybe 5 litres) tied to a two wheel shopping trolley, that she makes an over performance of pushing around the garden. This is her all day, daily ritual. All the staff carry out their jobs in a very slow way. No quick efficiency. Some of the reception staff, are not customer friendly. You can always escape to the beach and just use the hotel as somewhere to sleep. All in all. My opinion of this hotel is it is best avoided. Unless you like being treated like you are an inconvenience.

This was our second time staying here and we were treated just as well as the first time. The owner and staff are absolutely wonderful. The property underwent some beautiful renovations since our last visit 4 years ago. It is absolutely gorgeous. The room was beautifully updated and very comfortable. Love the area and that it’s walkable to the beach and into town. The food and drinks were top notch too.

Excellent!!! I would give them 11 put of 10. The place is welcoming, clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. This is what a top Pousada looks like in Brazil. The owner knows how to make her guests feel at home when farm from home. The staff are very accommodating and the breakfast was the best we had while traveling throughout Bahia for the variety of fruits, savory and sweet dishes. The town of Prado has many wonderful restaurants. Try the Budiao, it's a fish found in Bahia and the Banana da Terra restaurant makes various dishes with it. Delicious, not to be missed. From Prado you can visit various gorgeous beaches. We drove to Cumuruxatiba and stopped at the different beaches along the way. Pousada Casa de Maria was the perfect home-base for our stay in Prado!

Quarto espaçoso e muito confortável, banheiro na mesma medida. Estacionamento é em frente, regiao tranquila. Piscina e serviços da pousada excelentes. Recomendo

Otima pousada, lugar muito lindo, atendimento perfeito desde a chegada, todas sempre muito solicitas e com sorriso no rosto, fazem sentir muito a vontade! Lugar muito limpo e organizado, pensam até nos minimos detalhes! Estrutura linda, perfeito para um passeio em casal, lugar muito tranquilo e calmo. Vale a pena de hospedar nessa pousada, fica muito perto do centro de Prado, da para ir a pé.
