San Diego Express Palmares is a new hotel which was built mainly for start operations during the world cup. I arrived at July 6th and was worried about the hotel (there were some bad reviews of June on some sites) but fortunately everything was great. Staff was very kind and helpful and they hired people who talk in both English and Spanish. Room was comfortable with a nice flat TV and hot water. I totally recommend it since the hotel's area is quiet and safe too, near a big mall (Minas Shopping) in case you want to buy something. Nice experience definitely!

We stayed there late June 2014 and it was apparently still in the process of being built for the World Cup. Our room had no mirror and no storage space and the door fit badly. Staff was eager but very inexperienced. Breakfast was good, as was the wi-fi.

Pelo preço que cobraram pela estadia não vale a pena pela distância em relação ao centro da cidade e da Pampulha, visto que a garagem é apertada e sem vagas para todos os hóspedes. As portas da entrada e banheiro estavam desgastadas, assim como as toalhas de banho e de chão desgastadas. O chuveiro com pouca vazão de água e com pouco aquecimento da água em época de inverno. Lâmpada do banheiro com funcionamento ruim. Ponto positivo é o café da manhã com opções de frutas e de quitandas variadas.

Fomos surpreendidos por diversas situações: a porta apresentou de problemas ao abrir, no quarto o ar condicionado estava escorrendo uma água na parede, o trico de segurança interno estava estragado, o lençol da cama estava com buracos, as toalhas de banho bem velhas. Em compensação o café da manhã estava excelente. Segundo um recepcionista ele disse que já estava acostumado a mostrar para o hospede como é que faz para destravar a maçaneta da porta. Um grande incomodo por sinal.

A estadia no hotel foi dentro do esperado. Achei o quarto duplo um pouco apertado. O café, embora de qualidade com pouca variedade, muito salgados. O hotel também poderia parcelar a estadia. No mais, atendeu aos requisitos. Muito bem localizado. Próximo ao Minas shopping.

A localização é muito boa, perto de shopping e restaurantes. A vaga de estacionamento é cortesia, então teve um dia que tive que deixar o carro na rua. O café da manhã foi muito bom, tinha bastante variedade e é uma comida gostosa. O quarto precisa de melhorias, não tem tomadas perto das camas, o quarto tinha 2 camas, mas só tinha uma coberta. O ar condicionado era barulhento e tinha vezes que não gelava bem.
