The property has closed, hotel does not take guests.

Very convenient for the clinic that my Daughter-in-law is attending prior to the arrival of my first grandchild. She will be staying there until he is born and they are both fit enough to return to their home which is far away. My son And his wife have stayed there many times over the last few years and have found it extremely convenient. They have always been looked after and treated like family. Very friendly and great value for money. I can happily recommend this Hotel.

Good, quiet location with many restaurant around

The amazing staff learned who I was where I was supposed to be very quickly and took care of me. They were always asking me if I needed anything and there to help. Up until the moment I had to leave the manager took care of my personal belongings personally make sure that everything was secured. then he got a very good driver to the airport for me the minute I needed it

I've stayed here on four different occasions and GG feels like a second home. The staff is friendly (underneath the Khmer penchant for shyness), and the breakfasts are generally good. Rooms and laundry are attended to daily, and bottled water is provided every day as well. Great location too.

Nothing fancy nor luxurious about this hotel. But the rooms are clean, not super comfortable, and the staff are helpful.

Bathroom outdated. Coule not figure out the shower thing, no shower soap, the rooms are very old. The reason I choose was it's location only.

The window of my room was so dark and didn't open, so I felt the room is little bit uncomfortable. Maybe that's because I chose the cheaspest room. The location and staffs are great.

Room basic but worth the money we paid also liked the free laundry which was a bonus

A basic hotel with breakfast at great price. Although a bit old & w/o bathing gel or shampoo, I really can't complain for the price they are charging.

We did not expect much from Golden Gate after reading some bad reviews after we had booked the hotel. But to our pleasant surprise, our stay was hassle-free. The hotel staff were professional and attended to our needs (such as contacting tour companies to confirm certain arrangements), breakfast began at 6:30 am and there were enough options in the menu, the room was clean, the bathroom was simple but at least the hot shower worked, and the free wifi had strong signal. The only downside was that the a-c in our room was not cool enough, so we had to turn on the ceiling fan as well.

There is a general problem with the hotel information available on the Expedia website: Many hotels have rooms in two different price categories. But, in the photo gallery they do not show to which price category the room you see in the photo belongs to. They should really change that. For example, at the time I chose this hotel I based my decision on the photos of the Expedia website, especially on those for the bathroom. But, for Standard Category Rooms you cannot trust the photos. The rooms in the ground floor of the old building are not what they look like on the website. The Bathroom does not have a dedicated shower, just a shower head with a hose to the water heater fixed to the wall, as you find it in many SE Asia budget hotels. The hotel should really add a photo of a standard Bathroom to their gallery to avoid surprises. - - The room on the ground floor is also a little dark, the windows are blackened. This is for a good reason, they face to the back side of the next building and several water tanks which are a little old. As a compensation for this, the hotel should be a little bit more generous with the Watt Rating of the Electrical Bulbs installed in the lamps of the room. Brighter lamps would help when reading from printed paper. The darkness itself has a good side: it helps you sleep longer. There was no exhaust fan in toilet. The rooms are high, so for a single occupancy it is not a problem. But, I think I cannot recommend such a room for double occupancy.

The bed was way too soft, the sircon was a little weak but the fan made up for it and having the windows blacked out was a little disorienting.

Reasonable location, but hotel has seen better days. Room was massive but kind of empty. Air Con did not work well, but fortunately there was a fan too. Everything was clean but very faded. Breakfast was very mediocre. Staff were not very helpful about finding nearby non-tourist restaurants and got the wake-up call wrong, and gave an odd estimate of how long to get to the airport (they said allow 1.5 hours, it took about 12 minutes - admittedly at 5.30am, but they did know this...)

Nice hotel in a great area with many nice bars and restaurants

Best area. Fantastic hotel. Brilliant staff especially Palo on reception. The guy can't do enough to help you with anything you need.
