I love this hotel. It’s right on the river. It’s within walking distance to some good restaurants and the central shopping mall. Staff are always amazing and they have underground parking at a reasonable $20 a day. Staff in the stylish little lounge are super friendly. If you have work or personal matters downtown, I don’t know why you’d stay anywhere else. The only negative is if you don’t want the underground parking, there’s limited parking in the area.

People like the location and funcky rooms- both true. This visit was a windy -30 degree night and the restaurant was closed for a private event and even the front desk staff did not know that was happening. So I had to go out instead of staying warm. Also when you pull into the parkade ( the core reason I stayed here this trip) there is a sign that says ‘Don’t move forward until the door closes.’ A reflection of a risk of people sneaking in and stealing from cars. On day two the door was open and did not close when I drove in, so I told front desk staff . They said they were aware and a repair person was coming. In the morning the door was still not closing and there was no sign of any added security. My car was fine and no sign of issues elsewhere- thankfully. Won’t stay here again because while these were little things- other hotels seldom have this degree of disregard.

Paid 250 a night for a room with no microwave and only a wine fridge. Parking was ridiculous. You have to pay for parking yet we couldnt find a place to park. The lighting in the room was so dim i couldnt do my makeup. We only had access to 2 key cards and if your key card isnt in the slot the power in your room turns off. Front desk staff was rude and unhelpful.
