Fairfield by Marriott® Regina

We stayed at this hotel for my graduation weekend while I was already sick, I specifically chose it based on the reviews. I booked through a third-party app (Expedia), and it did not note that a credit card would be required at check-in. Unfortunately, my experience did not match what I expected at all. When we arrived, I was immediately asked for a credit card. Most hotels offer flexibility with payment options, and I have never been denied a room I already paid for because I didn’t have a credit card on me. Instead of trying to help, the front desk staff member stood there with a condescending smirk and was not helpful in trying to resolve the situation. I was then told it would be three times more on debit. Or find a friend here. Ended up calling around to friends just to cover a $100 charge. After all of that, I was later asked if I wanted to charge drinks and snacks to a credit card that wasn’t even mine—which she knew. When I asked if I could possibly get a late check-out by even half an hour or an hour because my graduation wasn’t until later, I was told I would have to “check back.” Again, with the same dismissive attitude and no effort to help. The next day was completely different. The gentleman working was kind, helpful, and immediately said a late check-out was no problem at all. Overall, the check-in experience felt unwelcoming, dismissive, and stressful, especially given that I chose this hotel based on positive reviews that did not reflect what I experienced.

Nice selection for the continental breakfast. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

The room was large, a fridge and microwave available. Staff were helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent and included in the nights cost. Good location, easy to get in and out of the parking load. Excellent facility.

The room was clean. The hotel was quiet. Overall the staff was really kind really good. The food was amazingly good and then some it was almost home-cooked feeling no real complaints and the amenities could’ve been a few more in the pantry for offerings, but that’s really all I can complain about and that’s really not that big of a complaint. Thanks for the wonderful night. Enjoyed my stay.

We stayed only one night, and it was our first try at your hotel. We liked it very much and will return. We did not have time to check out your amenities; maybe next time!

room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the continental breakfast which had 2 types of sausage patties, waffles, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, assorted breads, yogurt, fruit. The staff at check in and check out were friendly and efficient.

The room was immaculate, staff very friendly, restaurant great. Ample parking and the lot was decent as well. The pool area however was disappointing. The bottom of the pool was dirty, and the liner seems to be coming up. The hot tub was nice, but the vent at the base of the stairs seems hazardous. The pool area in general is not at all clean. Coffee(?) stain on the floor when you walk in, hairballs under the tables and filth, dirt and hair around the base of the windows/walls. While the pool and hot tub need some maintenance, it was clear that nobody goes in and cleans the pool areas often. (Utilized Sunday evening and Monday morning).

Rooms are small and front desk was less than accommodating. You can get much nicer rooms in this price range.

Hotel and room was really nice. Comfortable beds. Very clean. The only thing that disappointed us was the TV programming was poor (no movie channels). Very limited programs.

Breakfast attendant was way nice lady abd it had the option for veg , non veg choices . like it .

The tap in our shower mixed poorly, with the water changing from coolish to hotish without adjusting the tap. Otherwise, very good!
