The service was the best I've experienced since the pandemic. The hotel remains one of my most favorite in the world for the serene beauty surrounding it.

Only comment is that a waiter in 1888. His name is Corey is disreputable. He intentionally misheard entree and wine selections opting for the most expensive option available.
I corrected him on the entre selection but he got me on the wine selection. I tried to order the house Cabernet but he took the wine list and asked which one and I ended up paying $32 each for my wife and I to have about 4 oz each of wine.
He is deft but arrogant and if I was 25 years younger I would have confronted him. He should be fired.

There were few things that could have been much better:
1) Parking was not connected to the hotel which was very inconvenient for us with little babies.
2) We were charged a parking fee on our bill that didn’t belong to us so then rather then getting it fixed, front desk made us come down to the lobby to get the reimbursement’s
3) Room was fairly small as compared to what we paid for each night which was $800 so you would expect a bit better space.
4) No activities for the kids as it was my daughters birthday however the hotel didn’t have anything going for the days we stayed .

It’s a magical place, a proper castle in the National Park. Club lounge for Fairmont Gold has superb food both breakfast and evening canapés and the view is spectacular from the gold rooms. No mistaking it the rooms are small, like European small but there are very few suite options so you just accept it and being there is the joy not the actual room.

The property is full of history and beautiful views. We spent our one day stay busy eating, skating on the beautiful outdoor rink and swimming in the outdoor heated pool.

Parking ramp is way too far from the property and the check-in process is chaotic. Staff were very polite and professional and rooms are nice but food/bar service was slow.
