Although a bit dated in some respects, recent renovations are evident. The room was clean, the bed comfortable although a Queen would have been appreciated rather than a Double. The continental breakfast had great hours for those on the road early (5:30am). The room was affordable and priced accordingly. The Chinese buffet next door was excellent.
The exterior (front) was paved however the rooms at the back were off a laneway which is narrow and largely unkept. The back was gravel with overgrown grass and plenty of potholes. The hill is steep so be careful if you have a vehicle with a low chassis. The step and back porch need some TLC as some of the boards are split. If I rated the overall experience a positive, is that for the price the accommodations were better than expected. The hotel is also within walking distance to the hotel and for this visit it was our primary reason for being in the area.

I really liked that the hotel is close to the hospital. The room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and the dining experience was excellent. Thank you!

The famous no protein breakfast. However the waffle machine is a nice addition.
Room is small and a bit smelly and just under the bar / restaurant so you can hear customers walking.
Not much choice of hotel nearby here, not sure if it's better elsewhere. The price is definitely too high for the value.
The receptionist seems to be in an advanced level of depression, seems very difficult to give us back a smile
