The property was recently purchased by a new company. Staff on site were very polite and accommodating. The building is stunning and has great potential, restaurant and bar were not open yet. The room had an ocean view where we watched cruise ships and dolphins go by. An amazing property with an amazing potential. We’ll be back. No EV charging as yet but level 3 close by.

Painters Lodge has always been a high end resort destination in my home town. When we arrived to check in, the room hadn't been cleaned, but only after we had been sent to it. The room we did end up with didn't have hot water. At best it ran just above luke warm. The main seating area at the resort entrance has buckets on the floor to collect water leaking through the roof.

Painter’s Lodge is a BC icon. The property is beautifully located and laid out. The rooms and the lodge has been maintained well. However, it has not changed much since I last stayed there in the 1990’s and could use an upgrade. As well, for a top-rated lodge, it had the worst continental breakfast that I have experienced in the province. And the hotel staff are poorly trained and unprofessional. A person was manning the desk wearing a hoody with headphones on. They could not hear the phone when we called the front desk. And, when I asked him for something, I had to show him where it was. There are pictures on the walls of movie stars at this lodge in the 1960s. They wouldn’t be staying there today.

Buildings getting a bit old, but clean and nice, I'd go again. lacking cutlery and bowls at continental breakfast. Phone calls to front desk not answered many times.

Nice view. No day to day restocking of toiletries, coffee, towels, nor even enough towels for the three of us. Have to go to the front desk and ask for things. Annoying when the property is so big and rooms so far away from the office
