I'm typically a complainer so imagine my surprise finding a hotel with nothing wrong with it. We just spent 5 nights at this hotel and loved it. Our room was in the courtyard next to tables and the pool. It had a real community feel since people used the outside patio and Webber BBQ's quite a bit. We thought this might be noisy but it wasn't at all. We had a lovely room with a kitchen. The furniture and kitchen appliances were old style but they were clean, in excellent condition, and frankly, we'd rather have dated furniture than modern stuff with a higher room rate. The beds were firm but surprisingly they didn't hurt my old bones at all and we had excellent sleeps. The pillows were great and the pressure from the shower head was fantastic. The air conditioner worked great and was very quiet. I read below where someone said there was no ice machine - but there is one in the courtyard - next to the lobby (where there was always free coffee available). The pool was fantastic and mid day was quiet so we had it to ourselves a couple of days. The location was fantastic. For breakfast there is a Tim Hortons across the street and a Dennys a block away. It's walkable to the beach, many restaurants and the starting point for the canal's lazy river is only a block away. This is a family run hotel and you can tell they have a lot of pride in their business because the place is kept clean and they are very accommodating to their guests. It was lovely dealing with them. We'll be back!

Stayed with my older teen son. Having the two "rooms" in the single room was fantastic. Check in was great and the girl at the desk was very helpful with suggested areas to check out. Only issue was the super spotty wifi (yup 1st world problems 😅) since cell coverage wasn't great on my phone.

Our room felt very dark. It had two windows, but one was in the bedroom so the natural light didn’t reach the main area and the second window looked out on the hallway/patio where people were always sitting. We kept that window closed so people weren’t looking in. We found several cobwebs and spiders in the corners of the walls, had a dirty dish sponge, no cutting board in the kitchen and little to no hangers.. Just a couple plastic ones. The staff was friendly when we asked for replacements, but I feel like we shouldn’t have had to ask for these things. It was an alright motel, but for what we paid I was expecting a little more.

The one person on evening was unaware the room had pool and highway view which caused an issue that wasted time but was resolved well. Harv was great and very friendly . It is older but well maintained. Felt safe and was clean and comfy

I’ve stayed at a couple of different motels in Penticton, they’re all good but I’d say Sahara courtyard is my favourite. I’ll definitely book here again next summer.

The property is nothing like the photos. After the first night we saw no staff at all. The room and pool were just ok. The patio area was nice, but still looked nothing like the photos. Felt very much like a bait and switch.

I would stay at this hotel again. This was a comfortable hotel with nice clean rooms. Our room was a bit dated but the manager stated that they are phasing in modern upgrades over the next couple of years. The gentleman at the desk was very pleasant. The pool area was relaxing with ample seating. The hotel had nice flowers throughout. The couple of downsides were minimal amenities and the towels were clean but not as plush as in some hotel rooms. Also, no ice machine or breakfast. Restaurants are close though. A nice hotel for the price.

The staff were very courteous and helpful when it came to replacing a lost key card, later found at the bottom of the pool. Rented a room for a family of six, but only found 3 cups. The air conditioner in the main room should be upgraded to a digital thermostat. The soap bars were awful and left a film on the body.
I’m being nit-picky here, but would definitely recommend this location and would stay here again if in the area.

Unit was clean and very quiet. Must have good windows and insulation.
Clean towels every day. We were only there for 4 nights. Good pool and lots of chairs, tables and loungers. Good parking and close to golf course.
Only drawback was had to drive to either lake.
