This was a unique place as it was the old base and even though check in and parking were at another building other than the one we stayed in, it was an experience.

This was a very nice, very reasonably priced hotel on PEI. It is very convenient to Summerside and beaches, as well as restaurants. Each room has two good sized beds, wi-fi, and an attached bathroom. After a long day in the sun, it was very restful.

When we got to the hotel after a 7 hour drive, the front desk attendant told us that we were "lucky" because they gave away our reserved room but were able to give us the room reserved for people with accessibility needs. Room itself is nice and spacious. Hotel is obviously meant for long term cadet stays (it even looks like military barracks)--the cadets here now will be here for 4 months--not regular tourists.

The lady at the desk was very nice at check-in. The stairs leading up to the second floor were very dirty. No counter in washroom to put anything on. Carpet in room should be replaced or washed. Needs more lighting in parking lot and area outside walking to the hotel. Way too dark. I realize it wasn't originally a hotel but the dark parking lot was creepy.

Restaurant had VERY limited options. Coffee and tea were almost undrinkable. Room itself was clean, but felt like we were in a dorm room, not a motel room. Saying that, it was decent room for the price.

Couldn’t control the room temp, check in was weird - you stay in a different building. Sheets & pillows were uncomfortable & furniture needed to be replaced. For example, in the lobby of the building we stayed in, there were two mismatched, worn out love seats. One of the love seats’ legs were broken on one side so the entire thing was listing badly.
It was clean & the front desk staff was very helpful.
