Excellent service and property. Poor parking options.

I had a wonderful experience at Double tree Hollis. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and professional. The check-in process was quick and smooth. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable—with all the amenities I needed. The bed was especially cozy, and the housekeeping team did a great job throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the breakfast . Amazing selection of healthy food options.

Shower was broken in half giant caulking holding it together. No heat in the room. The gym was useless. And there was jack hammering all day long from the construction project.

Top quality all the way. They take much attention to details and cleanliness. They are customer centric. I will be back.

Room was booked for 4 people with only enough cups towels etc for 2. Our suite was not laid out as we expected from our room confirmation. Best part was the Cannary restruant. Food was delicious. The bar in the main lobby was great. Bartender was excellent with great personality.

Check in was very friendly, room was clean and very nice. The only issue we had was Valet Parking, this is very unorganized and parking is limited. Everything else was perfect.

Good hotel in the heart of downtown and close enough to the boardwalk.

Amazing staff, great location and good sized studio with comfy beds. Only negative is that for the price of the hotel I would expect my room to have furniture that is not worn out or all scratched up. Overall it was a great experience. Definitely recommend.

Loved my stay!

Great and convenient spot

The desk staff was great. And the young women serving breakfast were exceptional…a great asset.

The hotel room was too hot and the air conditioning was too loud. Staff told us that the thermostat was not controllable, and that one central heat exchanger circulated the entire building. They did attempt to move us to a different room but there was no improvement to the air quality. We did not sleep well the first night. We tried opening the windows but they wouldn’t open whatsoever. After some back and forth, they allowed us to cancel our second night stay and also credited our parking for the first night. The swimming pool and hot tub were also filthy looking. The water was murky and when we asked the cleaning staff if they cleaned it, they smirked and told us that the pool and hot tub were both cleaned once a week. We were very disappointed with this experience!

Everything here was fantastic. This was our first time traveling with our baby, and the staff was so helpful. Even before we arrived, we had questions about crib sheets and parking, and they gave us all the information we needed. They were always there to answer questions, and very friendly. If we come back to Halifax, we'll stay here again.

I will start with I was delighted to find a hotel in the downtown Halifax area with rooms big enough to fit our family of 6! It’s not an easy find & I would be very happy to visit the Hollis again anytime. The Hollis is a beautiful hotel filled with friendly and helpful staff. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a quick and easy check in or check out. While there is very limited parking available when checking in the valet service was very easy and efficient. Our room was bright and spacious and the pool was clean with lots towels and seating. I loved that the pool also had showers and a bathroom right in the room which made it much easier for my kids to take a potty break when needed. My only complaint would be that the pull out sofa was in a bit of rough shape with a few of the springs used to hold the mattress up, missing.

Loved the upkeep of the property. I was able to have a room close to my friend and very accessible to stores and restaurants.

Well appointed, elegant and clean with a lovely view of the harbour. Staff were kind and helpful. The warm cookie at check in was a nice touch. Parking was a bit tricky though.

The front desk and bar area staff were very welcoming and efficient.
