Crowne Plaza SHANGHAI NANJING ROAD, an IHG Hotel

Great hotel in a fantastic location. Right in the middle of all the shops with plenty of places to eat. Close to subways and connections to airports so easy to get around. You can walk to the bund in around 15-20 minutes. The staff are very helpful and speak excellent English. Would definitely stay here again.

Front desk, doorman, and housekeeper are all very welcoming and friendly. It was true 5 star service for our stay.

This was my first property staying in China so I have nothing to compare it with. The hotel is adjacent to the Conrad and behind the property is a very large shopping area. There’s a lot of road construction so lots of traffic. The hotel is older so don’t expect the jacuzzi tubs in your Jr suite to work. All of the rooms have broken tubs and replacement parts are no longer available. The breakfast is very good but missing Smoked Salmon, bagels, cream cheese, red onion. The staff is friendly and the gym is good. It takes a while for the hot water to reach the faucets and the valves are backwards which takes getting used to. Is it because it China or bad plumbing? I would stay there again but I like to try out different hotels

Conveniently located near train station, shopping street and the bund. Clean room. 2nd time staying at this hotel when in Shanghai.

I want you to know that all their service staff are ready to help and assist. The outstanding service staff are Isaac, Gabriel, Mary Zhu, and countless others. THE HOTEL ENVIRONMENT HAS A VERY CHARMING AMBIANCE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL, AND I WILL BE BACK TO STAY THERE AGAIN IF I GO TO SHANGHAI.

Comfortable

We loved Shanghai. Our first leg we stayed near the bund and this time we thought we’d stay near Nanjing road. Firstly. Staff here are amazing, they were so great with the kids and really helped with when we arrived slightly before check in. Gave us an amazing room with a great view of the Shanghai skyline. Was an older style hotel, but so clean and comfortable. One of the best of the trip. The location is awesome. If you wanted to you can walk to to the bund, there’s thousands and I mean it, options to est around the hotel and realistically we had two kids (5 & 2) and walked everywhere from here. Everything felt like it was 30-45 away walking and it was very convenient. Our next trip to Shanghai (which we are considering going again next year) we will definitely be staying here again.

The hotel is very well-located, on one end of the Nanjing Pedestrian Street.

Great location, enjoyed the stay. Good breakfast.

I won't rate this as a five start hotel. Windows are not douboe glazed fir which there was noise coming from busy street. Moreover, air conditioning does not work below 26 degrees, I couldn't sleep first night and was advised to switch off A/C and run a standing fan for air circulation. Finally, I moved out one day earlier but they have refused to cancel the last night and asked for CNY 1000 for early departure. I am unable to accept this property as CRIWN PLAZA chain from my experience.

Excellent choice

It’s very pleasant. The location is perfect. The room is clean and quiet. The only problem is that there are 2 steps in the grand entrance.
