Novotel Suites Shanghai Hongqiao Hotel

General management and property maintenance , facilities, services … not meet the standard of Novotel hotel should be ! Only the space of each two stories family suite is big ! Called Family Suite but in the kitchen doesn’t have any pots, pans, cups, saucers… nothing at all !

Not maintained well ! Doesn’t have basic facilities inside the room such as : No Cup and saucer for tea or coffee No plates, cutlery Two stories room space is big but looks empty without warm atmosphere

Fantastic Stay !!! Love the 2 toilets in the hotel room !!! The only drawback is ...need to get DiDi to go to the subway station. Overall, is great. Breakfast is Awesome !!!

Great rooms and service

Good clean property

I need to change room 3 times during a 4 nights stay. Room facing indoor open area was noisy due to festive events with loud speakers. Room facing road was noisy due to traffic. The third room have no electricity on 2nd floor due to fuse break. The pool was closed and no towel supplies for the gym.

The hotel signage is not prominent. Will missed the turn if unable to see it

The floors dusty while we got in .remote is dirty too. The loft is big so I accepted and call them to clean the floor on next day. It’s spacious and the price is unbeatable for a four star loft hotel.

Wonderfully spacious loft apartment (all I expected was a hotel room). Good option for the convention center. Otherwise location is very remote.

Advertised they had a swimming pool and it was not open. Disappointed as this is why I booked the hotel. The staff was very unhelpful (rude) and not appreciative of our business. We had issues with the kitchen and bugs in the room......but all the sudden they did not speak any English when it was time to solve the problems. Do not recommend it

I stayed here for a business trip during the Shanghai Auto Show period, so it was relatively busy. As a serviced apartment, the room sizes were *HUGE*, and it was amazing and clean. The living area has a 6-8 person dining table + couches, great for team collaborations. Wifi in the room was great, but a bit spotty at different areas. No VPN. The really convenient, but bizarre bits: There's a well-stocked supermarket just underneath which allows you to buy daily needs conveniently (warning: only local credit cards, cash and WeChat/Alipay accepted), and a food centre that only takes WeChat/Alipay (no cash! - although you could pass your cash to somebody so they can pay for you through contactless). Although, the hotel itself DOES take international credit cards. Staff was helpful and responsive, but not attentive. Reception's English is passable but tends to be more difficult over the phone. International business guests who are not used to Chinese services may find it severely lacking, but as someone who used to live in China - I can attest that this is a great hotel for local standards. Service staff needs to be trained to receive international guests better since it's being positioned as an international accommodation. BIG WARNING: There is also no ATM within the premises (nearest is about a 500m walk away), so make sure you get your cash in Hongqiao business area, or downtown in Puxi.

The building is new and clean however many of the appliances was installed incorrectly and some of them is not functioning i.e bathroom power socket, the tower hanger in bathroom, the glass door holder in balcony. I suggest the hotel management should do a quick check before hang over to their guest.

Beautiful new clean loft style rooms! Strongly recommend!

Specious room size, unfortunately have to claim stair case to the bedroom as it is on the loft, little bit effort to get up and down as the luggage is down stair, breakfast need to be upgrade in quality and service.

It was amazing to stay in this Property . International Travellers pls note that this hotel does not accept Forex . They wants you to pay only on Local Currency . There is no Indian Food Available in The Hotel or Nearby area . For this you need to go to The Bund or East Nanjing Road .....

My stay at The Novotel Suites Shanghai Hongqiao Hotel was in conjunction with the Auto Mechanika at the National Exhibition & Conference Centre (NECC). The hotel was with in walking distance to the NECC and there were plenty of different restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. The hotel was a short drive by taxi / uber to the Outlet Shopping Complex. The breakfast at the hotel was okay but had limited options available. The actual suite was HUGE !! It was a two bedroom apartment that was appointed extremely well. There was a full kitchen / dining room, two bathrooms, laundry facilities, and a lounge area. Overall I was extremely pleased with the hotel and would recommend it.

Great hotel, close to convention centre and honqiao airport. Very quiet area and must reach everywhere by taxi

Very friendly service all through out the stay. Was truly surprised at how big the room was and how tall/elevated it was. In fast, I was shocked that I booked this for myself only when this clearly can fit 4+ people.

Business trip for visiting exhibition. 10mins drive to Exhibition Hall. Room is comfortable and cozy. There is a decent supermarket just downstairs inside thebhotel which is good. Not many attractions nearby though.
