Hotel Sol Samara

Yes, The room was clean. There was a refrigerator, small one and a nice working air conditioning unit with a fan overhead. I read other reviews about roosters crowing near this hotel. And I thought well roosters get up and start crawling about 5:00 6:00 a.m. and I'm going to be out of the room by that time so I don't care. Wrong! The roosters started crowing at 11:00 p.m. and didn't stop all day and night. I don't know what they can do about it because as you may or may not know, Costa Ricans are kind of loose about approaching people about touchy subjects. So be prepared is all I'm saying. Maybe bring some earmuffs? It's a value and it's a good value. The breakfast was excellent. The food was very, very good and you can choose from a menu which means you, you have yours. Your choice of a vegan or going typical tico. Also, the fruits and vegetables are really nice and added feature.

Pretty basic place, no frills here. Good place for an overnight. Helpful staff for sure. Clean.

Very clean comfortable hotel. Comfortable room and beds. TV reception could have been better, but I do not go on vacation to atch TV, so no big deal. Excellent staff and very nice breakfast included in deal, as well as a complimentary bottle of wine.

Best place to stay in Samara. Amazing staff and great breakfast (included) a real plus.

We love Sol Samara! Cannot wait to return with all our girlfriends. Staff was so friendly and welcoming. Food was great and the small pool was perfect for a private morning dip. We love kitties and they had purrfect friends around the property.

Keeping in mind this is rural Costa Rica the whole experience was very good. The senior property manager was exceptional and food was great. Only draw back it is a bit out of town. But their food is better.

Very relaxing stay! We enjoyed the pool and the proximity to the Carrillo beach and village of Samara. Delicious complimentary breakfast, nice dinner, friendly and attentive staff.

Very small room with air conditioning and a rusty fridge. We paid $50 US for two virgin pina coladas and 6 little bottles of soda! We will never return to this hotel since the road that leads from the hotel to the beach is very uncomfortable and dirty in a run down neighbourhood, locals burning garbage on the street and urinating there. Staff were friendly and great. You couldn't enjoy the beach since you had to walk by that neighbourhood.

The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Room and grounds very clean. The access road to the hotel is very rough, my only complaint but obviously not their doing nor responsibly.
