What Guests Say About Their Stay

This is a very unassuming hotel from the outside - it looks very plain. However, it is beautiful inside! The rooms are very nicely done and have a real charm about them. There is a hotel car park (about 25 spaces?) which you get to through a narrow archway just to the side of the main entrance. The road outside the hotel has recently been redesigned and where there used to be some car parking spaces, there is now what looks like a cycle route. You are allowed to drive down there though but just be careful of all the cyclists! You have to drive down here to access the car park. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but chose to grab a coffee in one of the nearby shops.

Downtown Aarhus is compact, making the hotel location ideal for getting everywhere. We walked all over the city and were also able to hop on the bus or light rail, as needed. Although the ambiance, decor, and architecture of the hotel stand out, the best aspect is the staff. They are engaging, knowledgeable, friendly, multilingual, and just an amazing group of people.

Friendly and helpful staff. Our room, which was on the ground floor, looked onto the courtyard where we enjoyed a glass of wine one evening. The road outside is closed to cars so this limits the noise albeit there is a busy bar just across the road. The room had a fridge but no air con. Comfortable large bed.

Villa takes you back in time & offers you a personal, unique experience in central Aarhus. What a treat! The staff/ hosts/hostesses are incredible. A lovely, warm personal touch - very welcoming, accommodating, friendly & great mixologists at the unique lounge bar & they genuinely care about their guests & our experiences. Superb! Chef’s kiss! 💋 Room was thoughtfully prepared with love. You want for nothing. As close to perfection as it gets. Located an 8 minute walk from the Central Train station, perfectly near the canals & the main bay. Lots to see within walking distance. Many excellent dining options right outside. Absolutely loved it! The stay at Villa made my visit to Aarhus the most memorable. Highly recommend! Brilliant!

This small hotel is very quaint. Our room was clean. The weather was warm when we stayed there and the fact that there was no airconditioning was uncomfortable for us. We were able to get a fan the second night. If you have some mobility issues the stairs and steps are a bit tricky. The breakfast buffet and choices were lovely and so was the service and the staff. The elevator lacked good lighting and warm almost pitch dark. So for us at our age we would not stay there again but for anyone else it is a lovely place.

Exceptionally charming warmly decorated. Staff was very helpful regarding information about the town. Breakfast was good, but quite expensive. But the bedding issue returns. On our 2 week trip in Scandinavia every hotel but 2 had the same unacceptable layout on their beds. two single bed duvets on either a full doble bed or larger bed. That is really uncomfortable for 2 people sharing that large bed. And there are no sheets, just 2 duvets. Terrible.

It's our second time staying there and we really like it. Perfectly located in the city centre with walking distance to bars and restaurants. Breakfast is nice with great service. Maybe airconditioning should be considered since on the warm summer nights it can be quite hot in the rooms. Not something the hotel is to blame for, but the seagulls are making so much noise waking you up in the middle of the night and morning.

We thought that the hotel was more junky garage-sale furnished rather than charming. Courtyard and parking area were not well maintained and were dirty. Room was adequate . It was just ok. Nothing at all special. Getting our car into the parking area was challenging- extremely narrow gated entry that was not well marked. We expected much more after reading reviews. Would not stay there again.
