Den Gamle Grænsekro

The decor in the property is a little dated but it was clean, the bed was very comfortable and large rooms. The chef was very personable and even arranged bacon to be available for us at breakfast even though it is not on their menu. The food was delicious and the blonde haired waitress very friendly and helpful. All in all a great stay and good value for money.

Business trip so only a singl night and the team were welcoming and accomodating. The rooms are rather dated but the food was good and nothing was amiss.

It is a historic property. The meals were excellent -- very traditional danish but modernized with fresh ingredients. Notwithstanding, the rooms need significant updating. We had a particular problem with the plumbing in room 36. In the morning, the bathroom was totally flooded when we got up -- unable to take a shower. One of the hotel workers used a plunger on the shower drain that cleared it, but I feared that there may have been contamination with sewage.

Nina was a lovely hostess. She looked after us with a smile. Check in- it was quite strange to have the check in desk at the bar but we were given our keys quickly. WiFi- cannot fault it AT ALL! Brilliant speed and connection throughout the entire hotel. Rooms - we used 5 rooms (triple and double). I found the beds to be very comfortable - including the sofa bed. The decor and furnishings is very tired and old. The naked paintings on the walls made my grandmother and aunties raise their brows! Breakfast - they offer a continental breakfast of various cold meats, smoked salmon, warm bread, cheese and fruit. Juices are also available as well as cereal and yogurt. Cleanliness- I wish they'd done a better job cleaning the rooms. Old spider webs were found in various corners of the rooms and there were creepy crawlies. It's a shame really because other than the cleanliness, I couldn't fault this hotel. Local stores- there's not really a store that's in close proximity to the hotel so if you see a REMA, Netto or LIDL on your way.... grab some drinks and snacks. There is a bar at the hotel and they serve lunch and dinner too. Overall, decent stay minus the spiders

Nice, cozy good food in the restaurant and friendly staff. Has a nice atmosphere - more homely that the usual hotel.

Fin kro med glimrende mad. Fik grænsesnitsel om aftenen som var stor og god. Morgenmaden enkel og glimrende, meget venligt personale . Sengene for bløde efter min smag

Dejligt, stort værelse med bad og god plads til os tre. Fantastisk god mad i den hyggelige krostue

God service, meget rent, rigtig god aftensmads menu.

Very small breakfast. I'm a diabetic so a bit surprising to only find swetened youghurts. I miss the bacon and scrambled eggs for breakfast. The room could have been warmed up for my arrival. It took a long time with the existing radiator.

Meget hyggeligt og meget sød betjening.

Efter en meget åndsfraværende indtjekning, fik vi nøglen til vores værelse. Hyggeligt og rummeligt og autentisk med gammel indretning, men iskoldt da der var slukket for varmen. Her var dobbeltseng og badekar som bestilt. Instant kaffe og te samt elkedel på værelset. Meget lille TV - medbring Chromecast hvis du vil streame. Sengen er hård - det elsker jeg, men min mand er helt ødelagt i kroppen. Vi spiste aftensmad ude og fik dessert her på hotellet. Det var en skuffende oplevelse i den dyre ende af skalaen! Jeg ville have haft pandekager med is, men pandekagerne er ikke hjemmelavede, så jeg gik med en pære belle Helene og min mand med bananasplit. Min pære var “frisk” fra dåsen og heller ikke “hjemmelavet” og de var rendt tør for bananer, så min mand fik bananasplit uden banan, men til fuld pris. Vi betalte for desserterne hos samme kvinde som tjekkede os ind - hun spurgte om vi boede her og var absurd interesseret i om vi havde betalt for opholdet - dette var betalt hjemmefra og fremgik tydeligt af hendes seddel. Alt i alt tåleligt ophold, men ikke et sted jeg vil anbefale til andet end en nødovernatning!

Jeg bestiller til 2 voksende og et barn, men der var hverken dyne, pude eller håndklæder til min søn hvilket jeg syntes er rigtig for dårligt

Vi fik god modtagelse og super god service under hele opholdet. Søde mennesker og fantastisk morgenmad.
