Bahia Principe Grand Samana - Adults Only

Perfect luxury property.Great staff amazing service in testaurants and at desk.Beautiful views,and lovely beach. Only negtive is limited food choices and quality.

At check-in i wasn't informed about having to make a reservation at the only operating restaurant (Las Olas) besides the sub par buffet. I asked 8 times at different times for availability at the restaurant and was told they were full. I passed by the restaurant 3 times and it was half empty. I went in 30 minute intervals, since I was told that people were leaving while others were coming in every 30 minutes. That never happened, and yet my wife and I were never accomodated. Then I find out that it's only open 1 day. Don Pablo and the Italian restaurant were both closed. No snacks at the bar. While you drink, you munch on salty crackers, pretzels and peanuts. All inclusive but Corona beer must be purchased separately. Pillows were kid size and the foam was almost non existing. The music from the main lobby was horrible and loud. Since Dom Pablo and the Italian restaurant are closed, why not use those closed areas to contain the noise? No consideration at all. When I needed my car to go away for the day, i was told that the guy who gets the cars comes later on. I had to go get the car myself. Who am I? I worked 30 years in the Hospitality industry in NYC and Pennsylvania. I was Director of Housekeeping, Director of Front Office, Director of Operations, and lastly a member of Task Force Division. My wife and I are so saddened by our experience in your facility. We haven't visited Samana in 30 years, and we expected to be WOW'd since so much has improved over time. Not so.

The service and personnel were excepcional, but the place is loosing quality for a 5-star hotel. For example, the bathroom we stayed in did not reflect the standard (was repaired with very bad finishing), the TV is old with not-so-good image quality, and both the "a la carte" restaurants were closed during our stay. Soon it could loose the 5-Star rating hotel if changes are not made.

Great place to stay; clean, safe, beautiful views of the bay of Samana, excellent staff, and food/drink options were great. More of a quiet getaway with a loved one…if you’re looking for high energy party type vacation: not for you.

I recently stayed at the Grand Bahia Principe Samana and I must say, the experience was fantastic! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The hotel boasts one of the most spectacular beaches we've ever visited, with stunning views and crystal-clear waters. Without a doubt, we would love to return and stay here again!

Amazing stay

The app had us flying into PUJ which is a 4.5 hour taxi to the resort. No restaurants available. Limited night time entertainment. Pool closed at 6 pm still very warm outside.

We recently stayed at this hotel and were impressed by the beautiful property. The grounds were well-maintained, and the beachfront location made for a relaxing getaway. My wife and I especially enjoyed spending time on the beach and appreciating the scenic surroundings. The food at the hotel was okay, but we found better dining options in the nearby town. Despite that, our overall experience was very enjoyable, and we would consider returning in the future.

The hotel is very nice, big rooms, private beach and very clean. The service is exceptional.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. It is a friendly quality hotel, excellent food, large rooms with ocean views.

This was a classy, quiet resort, with most guests over age 50, Canadian and European. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly. Very picturesque pool area and private exclusive beach. Plenty of chase lounges to go around. The nightly entertainment area was in the corner of the lobby next to the bar that consisted of local singers with music for dancing salsa and bachata. There is a quiet are behind the bar that is a balcony overlooking the pool with a cool ocean breeze. If you look carefully, you may even spot a whale in the distance. Our ocean view room was like a postcard. Samana is a beautiful area with plenty to do from whale watching to visiting caverns in the national park. We would go back again. Met one couple who have been going there the past 18 years!

Encouragement to integrate your environmental policy more actively /visible for the guests. Fx basket for plastic in rooms and common places. Work with local community to keep area outside the hotel clean (10 m away and lots of rubbish on the street)

Beautiful property, room was spacious, bed was soft, and views were amazing. Food leaves room for improvement, basically average nothing exceptional, wished it was better considering what they charge. Pool is rather cold and hot tub is not heated at all, it's just as cold as the pool which was disappointing. Beach was incredible, over all we really enjoyed our stay. Staff is exceptional.

We had a great time at Bahia Principe Grand Samana. We liked that the resort is small and intimate, food was decent for an all-inclusive and staff was friendly. Resort is a bit old but well maintained and clean overall. On the other end, we found the beach being rather small, not enough chairs and palapas for all guests, and very close to the road causing noise. We would return and recommend to friends and family looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation.

I love this hotel. I intended to stay for six days, but a single overnight convinced me to book another four days. That morning, I walked up to Zeida at the desk and said, "The sky is too pink, the sand too soft, the ocean too relaxing, the view too spectacular." What I didn't know then but do now is that the employees are exemplary- every single one. By the way, the nightly cost here provides a nice hotel in Boston without the sea of people catering to your every need. Meals here are cheaper than local restaurants. A long list of now friendly faces - I've forgotten too many names - including Braulio, Eddie, Wendy, Sonia, Vani, Saltares, and Kevin - all a tribute to the person in charge of hiring. I'll be back.

I went alone and the service was great and had an amazing time the experience from the start was fantastic the property was beautiful the up keep of the property was great

This hotel has beautiful views ,food was terrible, there is nothing to do it was so boring there is no animations In a nursing home the spirit is better than in this resort I would not recommend. I cancel after 1st night and i am still trying to get that money back for cancelation.
