the staff and the food was great the hotel administration wasn't great and the check in process suck , wanna to charge extra for a 1:30 early check in. Our ac was broken took for ever to get another room. the beach was nice and the employees , but not worth the almost $300 a nite. my opinion.

Great stay, clean, staff is amazing, and the food is the best of all the package, the buffet is extraordinary, the flavors are amazing at both buffets and restaurants, the beach omg sooo good 😎😎😎 great stay for the value.

The best resort in playa dorado

Let me start off by saying I rarely post a review. I’m a business owner and it really sucks to get a bad review so if it’s really not that bad, I don’t post about it. I just chalk it up to bad circumstances and leave it alone. However, this was quite possibly the worst resort we have ever stayed at. From the moment we walked in the door. There was an insane amount of sales pressure to purchase a timeshare of some sort at this property. If I was trying to sell a timeshare, I would make sure the property was clean adequately staffed, and comfortable for paying guests. When we first walked into the room, it was clean overall, but very old, tons of mosquitoes flying around the room, and the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. Prior to our arrival I requested to not be placed next to families that had children and paid for an upgraded room that would allow for such accommodations. We booked a swim out room and our neighbors had five children. The term “swim out” is very deceiving. You share one very small pool with the ground floor neighbors. This is not a pool that connects to the rest of the resort. The photos of this resort overall are very misleading. I promise you it does not look like that when you get there and you will be highly disappointed. Dinner is a whole other story again if you wanted your guest to purchase a timeshare, wouldn’t it make sense that dinner reservations were made for them at arrival. Firstly, the room had a musty smell and was outdated. The air conditioner was leaking water, and the room flooded while I was sleeping. The glass doors of the bathtub were damaged, and I was afraid they might come loose and fall on me. Lastly, and worst of all, I found some insects in the bed which is absolutely unacceptable. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I do not believe the service or conditions reflected what I paid for. I would like to request a refund as this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel.

This is my favorite hotel on the northern coast of DR! In addition to the five star amenities, easy access to the beach and comfort of the rooms, the staff are amazing! Especially Orlando and Emeily at the reception desk, Carlos the bell hop, Chemy at Oak, Luis at the breakfast buffet and Águila in security!

I loved the attention to detail in rooms. I disliked the pressure to purchase excursions and vacation program. Additionally the amount of vendors offering wears and services on the beach.

Short stay, but I enjoy my time there. Wont say food was the best I ever had but I didn’t starved. If you decide to come and go to dinner in one of their restaurants don’t pick the Mexican the food wasn’t good. But place was definitely enjoyable. Make sure to visit the spa has a lot of perks for 65$
