Playa Palmera Beach Resort

The staff was wonderful, and the facilities were very nice, but the place seemed mostly deserted. On the plus side, it was easy to get a beach lounger, but it was just kind of a weird vibe. But then the last day, we went to get breakfast at the beach, and the restaurant was being torn down, and there were military guys standing around. Just bizarre, and the staff couldn't tell us what was going on. Later in the day, we were at the pool, and the bar was out of everything except rum. After leaving, we found a news article that the resort didn't get some permit that was required, so if booking I would be worried the whole place is going to be closed down. We had a good time, but at the end things seemed really fishy. Hopefully it all gets sorted out.

This was my first stay in Punta Cana and I loved it. The property staff were helpful and attentive. There was a language barrier, but overall the property was amazing. Rafael and Maya from concierge were extremely helpful. The only downside of the property was the mosquitoes in the room. I kept getting bit, but that did not change my experience. I will definitely be back.

The resort overall is good, with excellent location and so much potential. The management and the services however bring the prestige of the place down immensely. The staff although kind, is not helpful at all, and that applies to reception and concierge. It took 5 days to have a broken shower replaced despite several reports and people coming to the apartment WITHOUT any tools to 'have a look'. This was urged through concierge in person and through WhatsApp, where we were being ignored, as well as reception telling us to make sure to be in at certain time 3 times to ensure someone can come in, and nobody shoed up and we waisted the whole day waiting. Another concierge has 'booked' a trip for us to Monkeyland with a small baby, only she FORGOT to put us on the list despite us asking several times if all was confirmed, and the coach refused to take us, resulting into the female concierge having to drive us to the town herself to catch another bus. The reception staff although kind and nice is not much helpful in resolving any issues or advising on nearby activity options etc. Restaurants food is average to good, but the service is extremely slow, and we waited 1.5-2hrs or more for a simple meal each time we visited any of the restaurants in the resort, which has made us jist want to cook ourselves. I loved my stay at playa plamera. The reviews don’t do this resort justice. Everything was fantastic and I will be staying there again.

House keeper need to be more happy and smile more. They looked angry and frustrated. It’s a beautiful place very expensive. They take advantage of Americans money wise.

Value for money. We needed extra service and called the Resorts many times beforehand but The Manager didn’t picked the phone. When we arrived, we tried to speak to some to help us last minute but it seems most of the staff are a bit overworked and got too much to handle. However, BIG THANKS to the (Curacao) Lady at the reception for her excellent customer service. Went overboard to see us happy, answered all the questions with smiles and always friendly whilst under pressure, your company is lucky to have you. Thank you to Jefferson as well for looking after us, such a lovely professional guy. I appreciate you both.

Very nice hotel and the staff are really nice and treat with lot of hospitality. We had very nice experience stay for 6 nights - 7 days. We recommended in our big circle of friends

Good variety of food, great friendly and accommodating staff. Amazing beach where you can walk for miles.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was very helpful and the all around service was great. The beach was beautiful but the choice of music and volume there was very annoying. Some of the rap songs were not appropriate for children. Some low volume island music would have been nice.

Very well maintained and clean property. Good and friendly staff. However, only a few can speak English. It was a bit difficult to communicate with the cleaning staff but we were able to manage. Beach is just a few mins walk. Would definitely recommend!

Resort was not crowded, beach was nice and plenty of swimming pools. Tesort has courtesy carts to pick you up and transport you to beach or main shop area.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff was super friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. The room was clean and really comfortable which made our stay even better. I would definitely come back without a second thought. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a warm and quality place to stay

We enjoyed the penthouse apartment. The staff was very friendly. Rafael the concierge was so helpful and very quick to respond to every request. The transport drivers were fun and friendly. The food was delicious. Coco Mar restaurant at the beach served a variety of delicious meals. The beach was amazing.

We had a great time. wish more people went out but it was still good

The language barrier was a problem They didn’t understand English hardly at all. The choice of restaurants was very limited. The little grocery store was very limited with fresh vegetables and fruits. The pools outside the apartments became very dirty with algae green and disgusting
